Good transformer for the money. It has absolutely no frills like AVR (Auto voltage regulation), so this thing is basic, but that's what I was looking for, as my existing step-up/down with AVR was getting squirrely and detecting faults where there were none.I'm using this with 220v audio equipment that draws about 30W-50W, and there is no electrical noise I can pick up - presumably because this is likely just a 1:2 wound transformer..Now for the 'bad': My input voltage is 122-123V (normal for the us, it's now nominally 120V), and this transformer just doubles that, so my output is 246V. That's fine for my equipment which has another transformer and a linear regulator in it, but you should be aware that 246V is slightly above even what you would see in the UK (which is nominally 240, unlike the rest of Europe, which is 230).There are other reviews where people plug hair dryers into this - obviously you're going to blow a fuse or - worse - overload the transformer. Check the wattage of what you hook up to it and leave a safety margin, certainly don't plug a 1800W hairdryer, kettle, or vacuum cleaner into a 500W transformer...

This was the perfect buy, would surely recommend.

Good basic toroidal transformer with a resettable basic fuse.It takes several seconds to trip the fuse. I was able to feed 3x load (1500VA for 500VA unit) from 120V input for 3-5 sec before 8t tripped. This is expected for such a design.Internal wire soldering is not up to high standard.

It’s easy to use. Works as expected. It’s very useful to have two outlets. You can connect 2 devices at the same time (as long as you don’t exceed the wattage). I bought it to be able to use a 350W double wax warmer machine and other small EU devices in the US. I definitely recommend it.

Helped me to be able to use my microwave from Europe. Great device!The only thing was that the instructions were a bit unclear and I had to fiddle around with it before I understood how to make it work.

It works but once in a while it errors out. Not quite sure why. And it’s huge which takes up lots of space.

As an a immigrant i brought many of my electrical devices from Iran ( voltage of electricity is 220 v ) and i connected those whith this transformator .all work well .( coffe maker, tea maker,and etc.)

The media could not be loaded.  I'm writing this product review after using it for a month. The equipment is reliable and the build quality is superb. The only demerit is that the product is very heavy which makes it almost impossible to carry on a tour. I couldn't find any other option for a step-up transformer so it's a sure go-ahead. If you are looking for a step-down one then you have many lighter options.
