Good for backups, performance is as expected
Seagate drives nowadays actually last longer than wd drives. All my wd drives ive used since 2014 have bad sector issue in them. Seagate seems to have learnt their lesson from their crappy past and are providing quality drives now. I agree bigger storage (4tb, 5tb) means it will use SMR, with horrendous write speeds over time. We still get 5400 rpm drives from Seagate, and this is not true for WD which gives you even slower even crappier 4800 rpm smr drives, which gets bad sectors in few months of usage

5TB of storage is huge. Buy this Seagate portable for transfer speed, sleek build, convenient to use and easy to carry. I have bought three of these 5TBs in the past three years. Seagate 5TB ka jawab nahi.
