Product is made of fairly thin metal, with poor tolerances -- holes do not exactly line up with those on the truck, and hardware provided is unsuitable. Towing forces would place unsafe stress on this setup. At minimum, I suggest you replace the provided fastners with Grade 8 bolts, nuts, washers and lock washers. You'll need to get a smaller-diameter and slightly longer center bolt than what is provided, because the poor alignment will not allow for installation of provided bolt.I got this purely so I could mount a hitch basket or spare tire carrier, as I have a different vehicle for heavy towing. It works for that purpose, with a maximum tongue weight of around 80-90lbs. However, if I (225lb) stand on the basket, I can actually bend the hitch with a slight bouncing motion. Attempting to tow a small boat or utility trailer would likely meet with disaster.

I received my package and it is missing a screw, the nut and the washer. please send the missing parts asap. Thanks

Firstly, the top square hole that is in the upper portion is improperly placed, as a result the bolt supplied can't go through it, it would be wildly unsafe to use this product without that 3rd bolt in place. They were a good 1/2" off on their placement.Secondly, the unit comes with 3 bolts, none of which are long enough to even thread the nut on hardly much less go all the way through the nut as they should. The hardware is stamped 8.8 but god knows it's likely from China and thus can't be trusted to be anything it says.The hardware could be bought and replaced but the improper fitment of the receiver itself means it's impossible to use. I'm shocked that a safety related item like this would be made so poorly. Worse yet the safety chains go on this unit and not the vehicle so when this fails, the entire trailer will separate from the vehicle, insane!

Plain, and simple: ornamental.Got mine from a return, bolts one place, little bag ripped and on another place, you can see marks of being used… box was re-taped.. unsafe for towing, hence the price, not sure if I’m willing to use for a bike rack.Upper bolt does not fit.. you can only use 2 out of the 3 bolts… no specs for towing or anything…

Welding wasn’t sting enough only pulled 4x8 trailer. Maybe it’s defective I would like to get another to try before I give bad review.

Bolt holes don’t line up, and my first trip out with my trailer the hitch bent badly and one of the welds broke. Do not waste your money on this.
