Very disappointed with the quality
Purchased as a Christmas gift. It is extremely stale and tasteless. Family very disappointed with the quality of this marzipan candy. Bergen marzipan is usually a hit. Not this time. Just an added note the lid of the candy was all bent up.

Product stale. Given as a gift. Very disappointing
This item was Stale and can not be replaced or retuned ! Very disappointing and embarrassing. Ordered as a gift. I will not order this again. Lesson learned🤬

great whether hard or soft
I love marizpan! I know they are best when soft. I let my first one sit for a month, by accident. I loved them a little harder and they still tasted great. Then I ordered another and they were very soft. I ate them too quickly. I love them either way... LOL

Photo not accurate, but taste OK
The photo shows marzipan pieces with small candy tops attached. The product is quite simply a blob of marzipan spray painted assorted colors. NO candy tops, leaves, or stems. Not very attractive. Still, they get four stars because it tastes just fine and the price was the best on Amazon for straight marzipan. You can certainly pay more and get the bells and whistles. In short, you get what you pay for. Ours arrived with the THICK plastic cover intact and the product was "fresh." No cardboard lid.

Stale and overly sweet
I bought this for my spouse for a significant anniversary, another for my son for a really big birthday, and a third for a friend who just had surgery. The four of us are marzipan addicts. We could probably inhale it! These giant boxes were a HUGE disappointment. It was overly sweet and extremely stale. And when we opened ours, all the candy had fallen out of its holders and looked bad. (This last thing sounds really picky, but for presents of course you want things looking as nice as possible. This doesn’t seem to be an inherent problem for mail ordered marzipan. We’ve ordered a different brand on Amazon for years, and that’s never happened—always looks great.) Right now there are two companies selling marzipan that looks just like this on Amazon. We’ve been ordering and eating just that brand’s marzipan for years. I only tried this brand because I wasn’t too nuts (sic) about some other things I’d ordered from them, but bad idea switching on this. Especially because you can’t get a credit or money refunded for food products. So that was an expensive mistake! I recommend comparison shopping for all marzipan lovers. 😀
