Just beautiful
This is a lovely piece...even better than the photo. I was so pleased to give it as a gift -- and I didn't even have to wrap it bc the decorative boss looks very nice. Great quality piece.

I was delighted to see that this incredible serving platter was so ...
When this large box arrived at my house before Christmas, I had it in my head that a box this large would have a throw or pillow in it...and I didn't handle it very carefully. So when I actually opened the box, I was delighted to see that this incredible serving platter was so well wrapped that it could withstand any arduous shipping and handling. The package (once the bubble wrap, etc., was removed) was packed in a beautiful blue paper with a wide gold ribbon. A nice gift card with a message was carefully attached to the ribbon. I was already impressed by this time, so I knew whatever was inside the box would be nice. However, I can't tell you how very nice this platter is. Not only do I love pottery (and this piece is beautifully made and glazed), I like to have friends over and this platter is the perfect size for serving up appetizers, or anything a hungry group might be craving. The platter is sturdy with nice handles, pretty with a unique combination of two glazes in blue and earth tones, and is dishwasher safe. I'm sure I will be looking to get additional pieces from Kiltrea Pottery Ireland to go with this wonderful surprise from my mother-in-law.
