Hard music bad songs

I look forward to enjoying the Muppet Christmas Carole each Christmas Eve. Up until this year my family and I watched it on VHS. I ordered the DVD because my TV is hi-def. My children and I were disappointed that the song sung by Scrooge's young lady love was missing on the DVD. Sadly it didn'T appear until the credits. If it was important to have it play in the credits why not leave it in the movie?

We watch the movie every year. It will be fun to have the music.

This is one of a few movies that my family watches over and over. We started watching this before Disney decided to cut the love song out of it which added much needed depth to Scrooge's character. But it's still well worth a read, a watch or a listen. One of the best Christmas films with the best Christmas Songs, too!

It's really pretty, especially the song I bought it for-- When Love is Gone -- but it's a little over-simple in places that I'm not sure is an issue of the music itself or an issue of the transcription. That's mostly all I'm rating, I only wanted that one song anyway.

This is one of our family's all-time favorite versions of "A Christmas Carol." It is filled with wonderful music, great humor and poignant reminders that we determine our happiness here and in the life to come by how we live our lives. We watch it every Christmas - it's one of those films that are a "must see" for us to get in the Christmas spirit. Definitely a 5-star rating - would give it more stars if possible!!

This is the music from the DVD THE MUPPET CHRISTMAS CAROL. The music on the DVD is wonderful and this gives you the opportunity to play and learn the words. The music is not written for children to play but is easy enough for adults to sit down and play.

The sheet music is all there and the pictures from the movie are a pleasant addition with the sheet music in the book. Ultimately, it's what I was looking for and my only reason for not giving full five stars is that songs like the Christmas Scat sound a little odd but that comes with it not being originally a piano piece but a accapella piece. All in all, It's what I was expecting and I love it

Amazon doesn't help its retailer much with this one. Previous reviews seem to discuss the movie. This product is a music book, not a movie.I was hesitant to order because the description is non-existent. So here is what you need to know:It has all the songs from the movie, 11 in total. It is written for piano, vocal and guitar. There are some nice colour images from the movie on the first few pages to get you in the Christmas mood. The first song is therefore on page 9. Strangely there are two colouring-in pages for children - weird because it is a high level music book - bizarre! Don't let children near this lovely music book with their scribbles. Humbug!The piano and vocal parts are written together but on separate staves, with relatively extensive guitar chords throughout. The piano part is written as accompaniment but in many cases follows the vocal part anyway, and it is easy to jump if you need to help the singer along a bit. I've played through the whole book on piano and found the editing easy to follow and didn't find any annoying mistakes. I had to add in a few notes to bulk it out a bit, but as written I guess it could be tackled by anyone at about grade 6 level. Easy to play after watching the movie, but the rhythmic patterns are of course written in a simplified form to make it easy to follow and read.It's a stage type musical show so most of the pieces have a number of key changes within them. So if you are a guitar player then you better start working on the the Ab7sus fingering and getting rid of the capo. If you are a piano player then it's great for getting used to working with 5 flats one minute and 5 sharps the next in some places. Perfect for the toolbox of any primary school teacher as an fun alternative to tell the real meaning of Christmas. However you might need to transpose a few things a little to suit the vocal range of your singers. Also a good Christmas present for a competent young player looking for a challenge, and fun well written book for adults too. I intend to bring my copy out every December to make it feel like Christmas. The songs are cheesy but that's what makes them so good.I ordered from 'The Book Community' via Amazon Marketplace and they provided an excellent service. Book was perfect, well packaged and delivered very promptly.

Great book for personal use but please note that it is impossible to work out how to seek copyright permission to perform publicly as not covered by PRS licences. Lovely book though, photos are gorgeous.

We always watch the Muppet Christmas Carol at least once over Christmas, trying to sing along and forgetting most of the words. Bought this as a birthday present for my brother-in-law who plays the piano, his birthday was at the end of January and he has already started practising for next Christmas. Looking forward to a good sing-song on Christmas day :)
