Excellent quality snap caps
These were the first snap caps I've ever purchased. I was initially turned off by these because of the price, but after reading reviews of other products that mentioned chipping/flaking of the paint on the caps, I decided to go with these instead. I didn't want to deal with having to clean paint chips from my gun. The caps themselves are very well made; the casing itself is indistinguishable from an actual round and each cap has a nice weight to it (slightly lighter than my 115 grain live rounds). Aesthetically, they look very nice, and the colored rubber tips make it clear that you're using dummy rounds. In terms of use, these functioned extremely well. They extracted from my PX4 Storm without issue - in fact, better than the cheap live ammo that I've been using lately. After I got back from the range, I didn't see any chipping from the rounds and they were still in excellent shape with the exception of some carbon on the "bullet" portion of the caps (made more visible by the fact that I went for the white tips). Time will tell how long they last, but just based on the build quality I suspect they'll last a while. They look extremely nice, have a weight and feel similar to an actual round, and perform just like an actual live round - excepting the "boom," of course. I have nothing to compare these to, but I'm extremely happy with what I got. If you're a little concerned about the price compared to other offerings on Amazon - as I was - don't be. I'd much rather pay a few bucks more for a quality product that won't degrade with only a few uses. Thanks, B - you've made an excellent product.

Weighted, high quality dry fire / training ammunition
These are great quality and weighted, this makes them stand above the rest. For proper holster retention testing, the light hollowed out feel to other training / snap caps, hardly makes a difference to your guns weight. These are close enough to real ammunition that they are a game changer. I will and have bought again, they are great training tools for my clients as an instructor. They function and eject from your pistol very close to the real thing, any other related products I have tried do not.

Finally -- quality and life-like dummy cartridges for dry fire practice at home.
Hi, all. I received B's Dry Fire Snap Caps Dummy 9mm Luger Rounds last night, 28-January-2016. I've been using THE well-known red aluminum snap caps for some time; they held up well, and they did their job; but, I got tired of that product leaving aluminum flakes in my chamber and throughout the insides of my Sig Sauer P226 9mm; hence, I started to shop around for better quality dummy rounds; and, I found B's Dry Fire Snap Caps Dummy 9mm Luger Rounds. B's Dry Fire Snap Caps Dummy 9mm Luger Rounds are made of quality materials, and they are weighted close to the real live cartridges, which I really dig; because, the added weight gives me a real-life feel to my gun while I do my dry fire practice sessions at home. For example, for self-protection, I use the HPR Black OPS 9mm Luger 85 grain cartridge, and one cartridge weighs in at 0.4 oz; one cartridge of B's Dry Fire Snap Caps Dummy 9mm Luger Rounds weighs in at the same amount: 0.4 oz.. When I load all 10 cartridges of B's Dry Fire Snap Caps Dummy 9mm Luger Rounds into my magazine and into the magazine well of my gun, I feel the real weight of my gun as if I was at the gun range with live cartridges; and, the weight adds an element of reality to my dry fire training. So far, I fired B's Dry Fire Snap Caps Dummy 9mm Luger Rounds approximately 1,440 times since I got them. When I ejected them, they landed on the carpet I set on my floor. Through normal dry fire sessions (ejecting from my gun, stacking in my magazine, loading into my chamber, ejecting the magazine from the magazine well, and having the firing pin make contact to the white primer) they held up pretty well -- the blue tips started to get nicks, but that's normal for dry firing sessions. You can see the pictures, which I posted to this review, that show the firing pin striking marks on the white primer and the nicks in the blue tips. The marks on the white primer are just firing pin marks from my gun -- not gouges. I'm very pleased with this product -- finally, I found a company that makes quality life-like dummy cartridges for my dry fire practice sessions at home. /s/ Alfonso Faustino

All Ten Were Duds.
I thought it would be cool to have blue bullets even if they were a little expensive, but all ten were duds. Seriously, these are Snap Caps, for practice. (This review is directed toward novice shooters. There’s plenty of information elsewhere on the page for the experienced shooter). It is widely believed that it is not good for the weapon to “dry fire” it, which is to let the hammer fall on an empty chamber. These Snap Caps solve that problem, and solve it better than inert or “dummy rounds.” The Snap Caps have a white plastic insert in the center of the rim of the cartridge where the primer would be. Instead of a “dry fire” the hammer will strike the softer white plastic insert. Of course, you should still treat the weapon as if is loaded with a live round, and point it in the safest possible direction. They are useful for every situation in which you want to practice operating the weapon, but do not want or need live rounds. For example, if you have a new weapon or user and want to practice operating the weapon, inserting a magazine, chambering a round, releasing the safety, decocking a hammer, ejecting the magazine, and clearing the chamber. You can practice your stance, drawing the weapon, aiming, and pulling the trigger (see “dry fire” discussion, below). All of these are best done with dummy rounds (but following normal safety procedures). Although a rare occurrence, in 1979 I had a WW II Sauer 7.65 mm pistol discharge into the floor when the safety was released. Fortunately, shag carpeting hides a lot. The most significant danger using Snap Caps is that an ejected cartridge can roll under a piece of furniture, where it may be hard to retrieve. Great suggestion from A. Miner: Mix one or two in a magazine and get practice dealing with FTE/FTF (failure to eject/failure to feed) situations. The colored “bullet” will make it easier to find the ejected Snap Cap on the floor. (Note: Some target ranges do not allow shooters to pick up brass that has hit the floor). You can use the Snap Caps to practice reloading a magazine. I used them to practice with the Maglula UpLULA magazine loader, a handy device also available on Amazon. Another advantage of Snap Caps, if you are interrupted by the phone or doorbell, you can respond without concern that you are leaving a loaded magazine around. The B’s Dry Fire Snap Caps have the feel of live rounds. The weight is the same, and the brass cartridge functions like a live round. The blue color makes it obvious that you are not working with a live round, as does the white plastic piece on the back of the cartridge. Unlike plastic practice rounds, they do not flake off with use. They come in a decent little plastic case that snaps shut.

Nice when brand new,,,
I did like the look of these when they were brand new, but after running all 10 through a magazine drill only three times they have taken quite a beating. Casings are chewed up from the extractor and several have chips and chunks of paint gone already when they ejected they landed on my soft carpet so yea I’m a bit disappointed considering the price I paid for them, I was expecting them to hold up a lot better than they have. I think I will have to try the plastic ones next time and see how it goes with those,:::: update, these hold up good enough over time cycled them atleast 100 times each at this point

Excellent weight, fit and finish
These are far better than a zoom or Tipton... They have proper weight and reasonable height while avoiding any problems.

Close weight to live rounds, great for practice
These were the first snap caps I have ever purchased, and I'm glad I went with these. When I went for my first training class, I noticed the red snap caps they had were both very light and chipping like crazy. The instructor suggested these for home practice. I'm new to carrying and wanted something safe, but as close to the real weight as possible for practice and this was the right call. They are very close, if not the exact same weight as live ammo and it really helps with practicing dry fire drills, testing holsters and retention, and simply getting used to carrying the fully loaded weight. The blue tip and white primer end make these easy to distinguish from regular ammo. These have ejected with no issues during my practice and so far I show no signs of damage to my gun or the snap caps themselves. I'm very happy with these. I'll likely be getting a second pack so I can fully load a larger magazine for practice as well.

The Best Snap Caps and “Outstanding” Customer Service
This is a solid Snap Cap and the seller is willing to stand behind their product. I ordered two (10) packs of the 9mm Luger snap caps and they arrived with no damage to the plastic cases. The cases are well made and a nice touch to keep the snap caps stored when not in use. The snap caps seem to be very well made and you can tell care was taken to make sure these are not mixed up for a live round. A (White) rubber end for the firing pin to make contact with. A colored end, my snap caps were (blue) clearly lets you know it’s not a live round. They come in several colors Orange, Blue, Green etc and in many calibers. These snap Caps are as close in weight and feel to the real thing. I feel the Snap Caps will be a great addition to dry fire practice. I also think these will help in training in clearing a malfunction by placing one or two in your magazine when you are at the gun range. I have used several brands of Snap Caps in my many years of gun ownership and by far these are the BEST! Can’t beat the price and quality. Not only do you get a quality product but if you have any issues this company stands behind their products with what I call, “Outstanding” Customer Service. They are also made in the USA.
