Great product and super easy installation
I have a 2001 Silverado 5.3 L. Vortex and it fits perfect. This is the second one I bought for this truck, the 1st one lasted me about 5 years, it is plastic and eventually is gonna break but for the price is worth it. 10 minutes top to install. My son mows yards so we use the tailgate a lot. Would recommend 100%

Perfect fitment
Honestly surprised how perfect the fitment was due to it being aftermarket. It took me 5 minutes to install. If you’re reading this review and like others, You will be satisfied but just be careful with the 2 clips on the trim piece, They do seem fragile but if you install it with enough patience they shouldn’t break. Of course it’s fragile black plastic so just be careful installing. 5 stars!

Makes your tailgate feel new again
This latch and bezel trim combo was just what my truck needed after the old handle decided to retire mid-winter. Fitment was spot-on—lined up with the bolt holes like it was born there. The bezel snapped in clean, no trimming or swearing required.Install was mostly smooth, though the included screws felt a little soft. I stripped one just looking at it funny. Swapped in my own and it held fine. Instructions were nonexistent, but if you’ve ever taken a tailgate apart, you’ll figure it out. If not, grab a flashlight and a YouTube video.Color match was decent—black plastic, nothing fancy, but it blends in well. Durability seems solid so far. I’ve slammed the gate a few times and it hasn’t flinched. The latch feels firm, not loose or rattly like some cheap replacements.Shipping was fast, packaging was basic but protective. For the price, it’s a good value. You’re not getting OEM polish, but you’re also not paying dealership ransom.Would I buy again? Yep. Just wish it came with a tiny mechanic to do the install while I sip coffee.
