First let me say this is the best skewer I've found so far. It is the ideal width, just over a quarter inch. Wider blades tend to split items like bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms, while narrower blades allow these items to spin. The only flaw is the approximately 5" twisted part of the blade on the handle end, effectively reducing the useable part of the blade from 17" to 12". I don't see what purpose the twisted part serves, as the heavy gauge and rigidity of the stainless steel makes that feature pointless, while reducing the functionality quite a lot. Like I said, this is the best skewer I've found, but if they'd reduce or eliminate that twist, it'd be perfect.

I bought these to replace the use of small wooden skewers. As my title implies, these will work great on larger pieces like beef, pork and some chicken. They are too large to accommodate smaller like shrimp and cut-up vegetables. I'll look for smaller stainless steel rod skewers and order those to augment these.

I like these skewers, we used them for making regular kebabs and kofta kebabs, as well as veggies, since they need thicker skewers to be held in place better. They're easy to clean. The smaller skewers can be used for shrimp and other smaller items.

I have been very pleased, and like these much better than the bamboo spikes. I always wind up with a spike under a fingernail when I use the bamboo, but never this these. We use them on a grill over an open campfire. We use long tongs to turn them on the fire and then to remove them and place them on a serving tray/plate. Once they cool for just a minute or two, you can handle the circular ends without fear. Food slides easily on and off without needing spray or even oil. If you use soft veggies (like mushrooms) or fruit (we always use pineapple) be sure to keep the pieces large to avoid breakage. I like the longer skewers for convenience but having a couple of shorter ones is helpful.Cleanup is easy, also. They are discolored from the fire, but I'm fine with that. Food doesn't stick and comes off with a wipe of a soapy cloth in a camp sink. Once dry, they store easily in the storage sack. They even have small plastic tips to prevent getting stabbed when reaching for them in storage, but I have found that the tips are too much hassle. The storage sack works just fine, because the tips of the metal skewers are not sharp enough for injury in my opinion. Just sharp enough to easily get your food loaded.

I haven’t used these yet but they look alright. They have a little give when I put pressure on both ends, but otherwise I think they’ll hold up for typical home bbq use. As another reviewer said, the tips aren’t all cut exactly the same, but this isn’t really a problem to me. One thing that bothered me a bit was the black grease/dust over about half of them. Not sure if these have been used or what. And one of them was a little bent in the loop but not a big issue since it was just the one. The bag they give you to keep them all in is a nice touch - it’s not a fancy bag but it does the trick.

So there are actually two models in the picture but this one is being used on some of them. Work great and fit my Weber grill perfectly. The flat base and sharp enough but not to sharp point was easy to skewer the meat on them.

they say they are stainless steel, but we will see..appear to be decent quality,, I like the flat design..good for meatballs, shrimp..easier to turn on the grill..the added length is good too..cant wait until summer to use them more

These are great. We had been using bamboo skewers but I was tired of throwing things away after years. They are sturdy and they go right in the dishwasher. I like that they come with rubber tips to keep them from stabbing people while they’re being stored, and the nylon bag they come in makes a great storage place while the skewers are in use

Well these are a definite step up from our old narrow skewers but we found we still needed to use 2 per lamb mince kebab to keep the meat from sagging off onto grill which is disappointing given the price.

These are very sturdy and well be the perfect gift for my nephew who is always barbecuing and is vegetarian. Great value for money.
