Makes the FE so much easier
This review book is a must have when studying for the FE. It's very comprehensive and covers all possible topics on the exam and makes you very prepared - over prepared in fact because I found the questions in this practice exam to be harder than the actual questions in the exam. This book definitely lives to the hype and will help you pass the FE on the first try so long as you thoroughly go through the practice problems.

I studied for good two months and was able to pass the test ...
I used this problem set along with official problem set and official handbook sold by NCEES to study for my CE FE. I studied for good two months and was able to pass the test in my first go at the end of junior year. This book is a great study tool, problems that it has are slightly more difficult than what I saw on exam, but in my opinion, that is a good thing. You want to be as prepared as possible for it. Each problem has a step-by-step solution that is clear and easy to understand. The problem set covers all areas of study that are on FE, it doesn't have any unnecessary information. I highly recommend using this book in conjunction with FE difference manual that you can download for free from NCEES site once you've created an account there.

Thoroughly covered every topic on FE Exam
I used this book as one of two resources for studying for the FE, and it was very good. It is divided into sections by field then into subsections by problem type Every problem type imaginable was covered thoroughly with detailed explanations after every section. For those really wanting to excel on the FE, also get the accompaniment to this book FE Civil Review Manual which is basically a textbook that goes into detail with the concepts that the practice problems are about.

After self-studying, I used portions of this book and passed the EIT/FE Civil Exam
I'm a 5th year student and I'm graduating this year. As with most civil students, at my school anyways, I wanted to get my engineer-in-training license because that's the first step to get a professional engineer's license. I signed up for my exam in January and had a test date last Saturday. About two weeks before the exam, I started to put some time into studying. The resources I had were: Marshall University's Youtube videos (they're great!), the official FE Civil Exam Practice Exam, the Lindeburg FE Civil Practice Problems book (this book), and the NCEES Reference Handbook. My school did a fairly good job at preparing us but I am one of those students who struggle in classes. I first reviewed the Marshall University videos. I only managed to watch the math, statics, and part of the transportation videos before I really needed to cram.I cracked open this book and realized that I knew almost nothing. That's okay though, because the problems in this book are more difficult than the ones on the actual exam and it covers more topics. There are solutions to every problem. My method to understand the problems in this book was to at least try the problem; if I didn't know how to do it, look at the solution and study each step. Write them down. I went through most of the problems in the major sections (geotech, transportation, statics, math, hydraulics/hydrology, materials, structural analysis) by the day before the test and I think it helped me a lot.HOWEVER, do keep in mind that the actual exam is computer based and has a searchable reference handbook. You won't be able to give yourself a "real" practice exam if you don't use a searchable PDF of the reference handbook for the equations. Although the official practice exam is nice, I only went through the first couple pages (mostly math) and stopped.I took the exam last Saturday and found out my result this morning. If you're reading this, good luck! You won't succeed solely by this book but it's a great supplement.

Must have for FE takers, specially if you have been outside of school for a while
This is a must have for those studying for the FE civil exam.It is important to mention that the guidebook, does not include a significant amount of exercises, maybe just 1 or 2 per topic. But this book includes a significant number of practice problems for each topic. For the FE exam practice and speed are KEY.

Only study material needed
I passed my FE first try with this book, the questions are much harder then the exam itself but, learn to do these and you will be golden.
