Disappointed at first, then really liked it.
TIP: When you put in kernels in, put about 1 tbsp. Not a full measurement of the measuring cup provided. The less you put in to cook at a time, the less that end up unpoped. When I did my first popcorn popping with this, it didn't pop half the corn kernels. Then when I hand picked them all out and ran them through again, they damn near all popped. So I put new kernels in. The first time my mistake was filling the measuring cup all the way. The measuring cup that came with it that is. This time, I filled it about 1/4th.That time I was impressed. There were only 3 kernels that didn't pop.The machine works great. I've used it about 7 times. It heats up quickly, like a plug in space heater, and smells just like one too. While sounding like a hair dryer. And it is really fun to watch the popcorn spining. The kernels do pop violently, but that is their nature.Over all very satisfied. I'm happy I went with this newer version for $10 more, since they claimed the spinning helped pop more kernels. I have no way of knowing unless I buy the other and test them. Even if that isn't the case and out doesn't help, the spinning is fun to look at.I wanted a way to have a healthy snack without oils or butter, and this was it.

Good product for the money
Just used my air popper for the first time. I like that it does not require oil to pop the kernels. I use truffle Parmesan seasoning and it is delicious. Some of the kernels got stuck in the main cavity, so they kind of started exploding out the top. The machine also expelled a good number of unpopped kernels pretty early in the popping process. I will use less than one cup of kernels next time. Instructions say to use big kernels, which I did, not specialty small ones. Overall, I am happy with the product as it is pretty cheap and makes good popcorn. Saves my stove top from being wrecked by me shaking a pan for 10 minutes!

The hood does not direct the popped corn into a bowl & the 1st use was hysterically funny
So far the quality of the popped corn is great. The machine is easy to use. Very cost-effective too. Except for one feature, I am very pleased. The hood of the popper is not large enough to direct the popped corn into a bowl.My dogs were thrilled when I used it the first time because the popped corn shot all over the kitchen; as far as the opposite side of the kitchen and all over the floor. My dogs thought it was their treat - they ate every piece of popped corn that hit the floor. If I had made a video, it would go viral because it was hilarious. However, I didn't buy the popper to entertain others on YouTube or to feed my dogs unexpected treats. I was somewhat at fault because I didn't stand next to it to see if there might be an issue the first time I used it.BUT, I like how the popcorn turns out well enough to try to figure out how to add to the hood so the popped corn will be directed into a bowl. The packing was good, the time it took to arrive was excellent, and the quality of the popped corn is perfect. I wish the manufacturer had included a bigger hood my review would be 5 stars.Despite the initial chaos, I recommend this popper.

Worst popcorn maker EVER - Do NOT buy!!
I've had this popcorn maker for several months and really hoped it would get better. Unless you like lots of unpopped kernels and popcorn flying all over the kitchen - do yourself a favor and don't buy this. I tried several different types and sizes of kernels - hoping to find the one that would make this maker usable. It did not help at all - always lots of unpopped kernels. I also tried various sizes and depths of bowls to catch the popcorn because the chute is so short. Nope - popcorn all over the place. We make popcorn often, so I really wanted to give this a shot. But I finally have to admit the truth - this one just sucks. It's truly a shame! I don't like leaving bad reviews or throwing away things that can be useful - but this is headed to the TRASH, unfortunately.

Works, but makes a mess
Pros: 1) you do get popcorn from it and 2) it's easy to use.Cons: 1) it moves on the counter from the vibrations (I had to wedge it against something so it'd stop moving away from the bowl) and 2) it shoots popcorn and unpopped corn kernels past the bowl. If there was a guard to prevent popcorn from flying too far, this would be a much better product. For context, I'd say the machine successfully pops 90% of the corn kernels while 10% of the kernels get thrown out before they're popped. As for the aim, I would say somewhere 80 - 90% actually makes it into the bowl, and you lose somewhere from 10 - 20% to the floor or countertop. On one hand, I get it: popcorn kernels have erratic popping patterns. On the other hand, they probably could have solved this by redesigning the shape of the spout to control the projectile patterns of the popcorn.Would I buy this again knowing what I know now? No, definitely not. However, I already bought and used it so I'll probably try to make my own system for preventing the popcorn from flying everywhere.

Enormous amount of heat comes out and popcorn goes everywhere.
I was looking for a replacement popcorn maker because mine is starting to go. There are a few things I want to mention.1. This popcorn maker does have about a 75% pop rate for the kernels that go in2. Very easy to use, literally a push of a button.3. While the design is sleek, the amount of heat that hits you in the face while waiting for it to do its thing is extremely hot. There's no direction for the heat to be directed to whatever pot/bowl you use to catch the popcorn.4. Popcorn goes everywhere! I used a bowl that was directly placed below the shoot and I had popcorn shoot out and somehow managed to get behind the maker. I found pieces of popcorn all over my counter.I would recommend if you are looking for a popcorn maker, get one that has directional guidance for the popcorn and the heat to channel through, this one does not and creates a huge problem in my book.
