Great value, professional quality
Great tool. Cuts sheet metal like a hot knife through butter. No vibration, quiet motor, sturdy construction

Wrong Voltage
This is the 100 volt japanese version, not the 120v north american version even though the listing says 120 volt. Do not buy this if you live in the US.

The Makita nibbler is a quality tool as expected from Makita. The nibbler will cut in straight flat lines with no problem on pro panel roofing, but crosscutting was difficult because of the steep peaks and valleys of the type of metal panels I was using perhaps the smaller Makita nibbler would have worked better to reach into the valleys. The 5star rating to the customer service when it came time to get a refund, it was Smooth, fast and trouble free. I would consider doing future business with this company.

Makita metal cutter
Might be great for duct work but I used on a metal roof and it did not perform over the humps as I would prefer. I am a Makita Man but this could have been make better and it probably does make them better than this for metal for a roof. These just wasn’t the best for my particular job. They might be perfect for metal that’s flat.

Works perfect and great quality.
To my surprise, its easy to cut a straight line without a guide, assuming you have a mark to follow. I was amazed how fast this thing cuts. I own and operate a welding shop and this tool increases my abilities greatly for cutting curves as I hoped it would. But I'm amazed how fast and easy it is for cutting straight lines and I did not expect that, but I love it. Great build quality. Much better than my Milwakee sheers. This thing is also great for accurately trimming off just a little material. You need to make it 1/16th or 1/8th inch smaller? No problem. Clamp on guide and go. Job done quickly, easily and accurately.

This nibbler is a keeper!
We tested the JN3201 with a steel sheet of 0.068in thick (gauge 14) and cuts through like a knife through butter. Easy to handle and not heavy at all. Just go slow with wrinkles. This nibbler is compatible with American electrical standards in terms of voltage and frequency so you can use it with no concerns. Definitively we are going to keep this bad boy and try his sibling JS3201 anytime soon. ありがとうございました。

DECEPTIVE!!! Makita Corporate says Japanese 100 V version CANNOT be used with US 120 V outlets
RECEIVED A REPLY FROM MAKITA CORPORATE - YOU CANNOT USE THE 100 V JAPANESE VERSION THEY ARE SELLING HERE IN THE USA (IT IS NOT AUTHORIZED) AND ANY 100 V JAPANESE VERSIONS USED IN THE USA ARE NOT WARRANTIED.Great price, but they are deceptively shipping the Japanese 100 V, 7.0 Amp version in the US. The version they claim to be shipping is the 120 V, 6.1 Amp version which is not the case. Running the 100 V version on 120 V (can be as high as 126 V) will shorten the life of the tool and may even burn it out and will probably void the warranty. Manual is also in Japanese and not English or International.
