As a girly with a high spice tolerance and zero regrets, I can confirm—when Mike says “extra hot,” he means it. This stuff brings the heat like it’s auditioning for Hot Ones. That said, it’s still my go-to for EVERYTHING: pizza, potatoes, toast, chicken, revenge... Absolutely delicious with that perfect sweet-then-scorch combo. I made the mistake (or genius move?) of letting my spice-fearing husband try the extra hot, and his reaction was somewhere between a cartoon dragon and an airhorn. 10/10 entertainment value. Get this if you like your condiments with a personality and your taste buds slightly on edge.

This stuff is amazing. My favorite application is on pepperoni pizza but it's also really good on a grilled cheese or on a charcuterie board. Original flavor has a nice kick to it. The black container is seriously warm; I have to eat it in very small portions. I have tried other hot honeys and this is by far the best. I think this two pack would make a great addition to a gift basket or a stocking.

You know I bought this awhile ago and should of done a review at the time. I seen this show up on youtube and it reminded me of this honey. Ok I bought both honey. The original hot honey and they this. I tried this with a spoon. Then on other foods like toast and waffles. Ok so it don't work well on Pancakes or Waffles But to be hones I may only used this a few times since I got it cause the heat is very intense. Like 10x hotter my honest opinion. To be honest this is too hot to enjoy on your everyday breakfast. I enjoy the original better then this. However this is very hot but it wont' make me give a bad rating and it's a very well made chill infused honey. Flavor is there and so it the heat. if you want something sweet and hot the same time. This will do the trick. But i just want to be honest with you with this product.

One star off for quality control as the bottle was smashed up on the bottom yet was shipping in a cardboard box with stuffing. The bottle leaned over like the Tower of Pisa when it was placed on the counter but I was more worried about damaged plastic leeching into the product. Who knows how long this bottle has been smashed, probably sent me a defective product as I know for a fact that it did not get smashed up in transit (cardboard box was intact). I am a Tabasco addict and a lover of Sendy Hot Sauce, so you have an idea of how much heat I prefer. I recently purchased Hot Honey Sauce from Trader Joe's and fell in love with the sweet heat so I ordered this product. I've ordered Mike's Hot Honey in the past but not this extra hot version, and let me tell you, this hot sauce is HOT. It's not joking around. A tiny drop will heat up your mouth pretty quickly. I made the mistake of pouring on a dollop on a piece of cracker with cheddar cheese and it was pretty over powering, but scaling back on the amount made the heat tolerable and yummy, instead of incendiary. I like to be able to taste my food, so the heat should complement the food, not over power it. I use hot honey on pizzas, cheese and crackers and sometimes to rim my cocktail glass before I dip it in salt or sugar. I like the flavor of the regular Mike's Hot Honey better, but this is a second-place runner up.

Very spicy and I loved it. So I actually received two packets of this in a goody bag for a gala I went to a while ago. And when I tried them it was very spicy honey which I liked. I had gone to David Burkes in the lower part of Manhattan and they had this chicken and waffles which was the best chicken and waffles I’ve ever tried. I don’t like chicken and waffles but they made the best chicken and waffles and I think it had to do with the fact that their honey had a little spice cake to it. And this mimics that honey very well except it’s spicier. So if you like spice and sweet then I highly recommend putting this on anything you would put honey on with a little pinch of salt if you want to add the saltines. Another thing that I like to do is put cheese on crackers or Crustini‘s with cheese on top and you melted cheese just a little bit and drizzle and Honey. It’s delicious. I bought this to try that but I feel like it’s a little too spicy for the dish but I feel like if you have someone in your life that’s really into spices like Asian level spicy then they would love this. It’s very spicy on its own and that’s not even trying the super spicy one. That’s just the regular one. If you try the hot one you’re gonna burn your mouth off. It’s extremely hot and spicy. Do not be deceived with the honey aspect of it. You must enjoy and like spicy food in order to enjoy and like this honey. I happen to be that person
