Spray color those gray roots away!
Wow! This product is super easy to use and goes on quite naturally. This is my first time using a root cover up, and I have to share that I am absolutely satisfied. The color blends into my color treated hair and looks great. Honestly, this will extend my salon time in the future, and I pan to order it again. I did do a skin test for sensitivity before using it and had no problems. I have color treated hair, and purchased the light brown. Nice product, not pricey at all, and worth the effort! I highly recommend this product for your color treated hair.

Great Product! Will Definitely Buy More!
Amazing! Yes, I know it can be a bit messy until you get better at spraying it, but...when you get it right, it's perfect. I have blonde thinning hair, and like to have light brown roots because it makes my hair look thicker. Because I also have mostly gray and my hair grows pretty fast, I have gray roots within a week after getting my hair done (which is every 4-5 weeks). I used to do root touch up but had concerns about the permanent chemicals so often. This spray does a great job, and since I wash my hair every other day, I just blow dry and spray the roots...wait 2-3 minutes for it to dry, and then it's perfect. I can brush it, curl it, and run my fingers through it with no rub off of color. What more can you ask for? Will definitely buy this product in bulk!

Gone Is the Gray
This product covers the gray well and last for days. It has no smell or sticky feel to it. I have brown hair, so I use the light brown color. which is slightly darker than my hair. However, its the grey that I don't want. When you spray your hair, do wear gloves so that your fingernails do not get stained because the spray really discolors the nails.

My Favorite Root Concealer!
This is a great in-between-root-touchups gray hair camouflage! I've used most of the other brands of similar sprays but I keep coming back to Gray Away because it seems to adhere to the hair follicle better than the others and dries much faster. I've used sprays, sticks and powders for root coverage and I prefer spray for it's ease of use and how quickly I can apply it. With this, you can use it, pop your sunglasses on, go out the door and 15min later when you get to your destination, slide your sunglasses up to the top of your head to rest until you need them again Without the fear of it getting on your sunglasses! I can testify that other sprays won't dry quick enough (if at all, some stay kind of gummy all day!) and all of a sudden, you notice in the mirror that your face around your nose area is all dirty! It's transfer from the spray! You won't have that with this! I used to color my hair a very dark brunette and the Dark brown color worked well. When I decided to go a medium brown with auburn undertones, the light brown worked much better & looked more natural. A tip: Style your hair however you normally do before using this. It can come off onto heat styling tools so save this for last! I've found that using it only on my part area and a little around the hairline (using my other hand to mask my face) makes a can last me for about a month, if not longer. For reference, my hair is shoulder length and fine. Going lightly over my part also gives the look of having fuller hair too, an added bonus! I've found much better pricing on Amazon than in the store so it was a great purchase for me! I hope this review has helped you feel more confident in your purchase if you were on the fence about purchasing :)

3 great uses!
I know what you’re thinking… “it’s basically spray paint! I’m not spray painting my head!!”. I hear you, and I too, thought the same. Do you remember the commercial of the bald guy using a product that looked similar to this to cover up his shiny head and then smiling like he tricked the whole world? Me too. This is not that product. This is something that you need in your life. It’s called ‘Gray Away’ and is obviously intended to cover gray in between your hair appointments and it does that perfectly. But wait! There’s more! You can also use this when you’re not trying to cover gray and you just want your hair to look a little thicker. I have straight dark brown hair that’s pretty heavily highlighted and I like to use it on my part for 3 reasons. 1) it will cover gray if you need it too, 2) it makes your hair look a little thicker at the part, and 3) I just really like the ‘slightly grown-out’ look with darker roots. I get the “light brown”, and it’s pretty dark. I hold it about 5 or 6 inches and just do a few quick little bursts of spray (using very little). One bit of advice, make sure you’re in a well-lit area so you can really see what you’re doing. It might take a little bit of practice at first but it’s easy to use and looks very realistic, not like the dude from the commercial at all!! I would recommend putting a towel over your shirt just to be safe in case it oversprays. I’ve used this product for years and have recommended it to several friends who also love it. The end.

Root Concealer
Stuff works great. I have pretty dark hair but bought the light brown after reading other reviews. It works perfectly and is absolutely GREAT to get you through that last week. UPDATED: This stuff is the BEST!!!! I don't know about the other comments but for me, I only use it where my hair parts so this "small" bottle has lasted me a very long time. I have fairly dark hair and color my hair every 4 weeks (cause I hate when those gray roots start to show)!! It works really well for that 1-2 week period before it's time for the trip to the salon! I just ordered a 2nd bottle only because it works so well and I don't want to run out. I'd imagine if you were using it all over it wouldn't last very long but for me, it's perfect. Love it!!!

Not as Messy as Sticks, but I've Found Better Spray
I had ordered this along with Style Edit spray because I wanted to try something different. My hair is a dyed, darker brown color. I normally use the following color: Clairol Perfect 10 By Nice 'N Easy Hair Color 005a Medium Ash Brown. I hemmed and hawed between ordering the light brown and the black/dark brown. I ended up choosing the light brown, and glad I did, since it's fairly dark. The spray does cover the greys very nicely, but I found this color tended to rub off much easier than the Style Edit spray. If you don't wash your hair every single day, it would be best to to use a pillow case that you don't care about, or a hair cap, otherwise you'll end up with a brown pillow. I also found this spray to be a bit more sticky than Style Edit, as well as little harder to precisely control the spray. No matter what spray one uses, it does take a little practice & finesse to get the spray not to forcefully come out with a lot of pressure. When that happens, you end up with a dark, circular, and obvious area of color. With Style Edit, if the color doesn't come out quite evenly, or when I want to color close to my hair line and ears, I make a tissue wet, put some spray on it, then rub it into those areas. When I tried this with Gray Away, little bits of tissue would end up rubbing off and sticking to my hair, resulting in a dandruff-like appearance. Because Gray Away is more sticky, it was more difficult to get the tissue flakes out of my hair. Overall, Gray Away does work, but would not be my first choice.

Time saver and great overall product compared to the other brands out there!
This is THE best of the best out there! What a time saver!! I've tried all of the other brands (when this one was sold out for months in my local BBB). The other brands do not wash out well; get on your hands when you put your fingers thru your hair (after it's dried); and has the tendency to get on your bedding and more. (That is, if you don't wash your hair everyday). This brand right here is fantastic! I've turned so many of my friends on to it! It applies great via the special spray tube, and the coverage lasts! When I wash my hair, it washes out. When you blow-dry and then apply, wait until it's dry (less than a minute) before doing anything else. I usually blowdry my hair, apply it, and then blow-dry it dry (but you don't need to, really) and then add additional product to my hair, as well as brush or comb. I end up using it the week before my upcoming hair appt (vs spending any time 'doing my roots' with any other, and time consuming product). I also make sure it's washed out before my color appts to ensure the color process 'takes' at my appt. This is just THE best. ;)
