As an avid golfer, I recently added the Under Armour Men's Tech Golf Shorts to my golfing gear collection, and they have exceeded my expectations in every way! First and foremost, the comfort level of these shorts is unmatched. I like these shorts, but there are some things to be aware of before buying. 1) Under Armour shorts consistently run “small” in the waist. Is UA just true to size and everything else is generally oversized? Who knows. My guess is these are a little tighter to stay put during athletic activities since there is a bit of give in the fabric including the waistband. Regardless of the reason, you may want to ensure you’re on the thinner side of your pants waist size or try either sizing up or buy your usual and one size up and send back the one that doesn’t fit. The “tight fit” from UA has been happening to me for more than a decade now, so by this time it’s a feature, not a bug. 2) These are really great as casual shorts and not much more. I am a big fan of the old UA Bent Grass golf shorts, and these are not those. Different fabric, no silicone grip inside the waistband, etc. That does not mean they are lesser shorts, just different and for a different purpose. The fabric loses a very tiny bit of flex for extremely light weight and better wicking properties. I would personally buy one of UA’s other belted short options for golf, whatever the Bent Grass successor is. 3) A 10 inch inseam is a lot longer than I thought. These are right to my knees and border on approaching capri pant status. That’s a bit of an exaggeration, but I should have gone with the 7 inch inseam in hindsight. 4) These are best for very hot weather. Before you call me master of the obvious, hear me out. There are some golf shorts that can be played on borderline cool days. They stretch and wick moisture but are thick enough to withstand a stiff, cool breeze or cold clubhouse. Not these shorts. The fabric is about as light as you’ll ever experience and the shorts are not going to help moderate temperature if the temp is below 80F or so. 5) There is no hidden security pocket on these I can find. I guess I’m now used to shorts having a semi-concealed zipper pocket on the seam near the regular pockets. Nothing like that here. The only secure pockets are in back. Again, probably not a strike against these shorts, but if you’re expecting front pocket security, it won’t be on these shorts. That’s it. To be clear, these shorts are a great bargain at the price I paid and will get lots of use. None of the items above are deal breakers at all, just need to be aware before buying. Good luck.

The fit of these golf shorts are so comfy. I am contemplating buying a second pair of each color to wear as everyday shorts. flexible fabric and nice fit true to size even a little forgiving for us bigger guys.

These shorts exceeded my expectations with quality and comfort. I ordered the canvas color in 38 waist and they were only $16. 99, leading me to believe they would be subpar quality. I cannot find any potential defects in the material or stitching. They fit true to size in the waist and they have a neat appearance, unlike cargo shorts. I am 6'3" and these shorts fit right above my knees. All pockets are deep enough for a standard size cell phone or wallet. A potential negative is that the back pockets don't have any button or zipper. That doesn't bother me, but could matter to others. The shorts also show water spots so try to keep them dry and don’t spill. The material is light with a slight stretch to it. I am not a golfer so I plan on using these shorts as regular casual attire. They look good with either a t-shirt or polo, tucked or untucked. These are definitely versitle shorts and a good buy if you can get them for the right price.

Nice fit. They hold their shape when they come out of the dryer. Nice looking and very comfortable.

Love these shorts. Very comfortable to wear and if you decide to go swimming, empty your pockets nd jump in. They dry quick and don’t seem to fade from chlorine

Great fit, light weight, durable and comfortable. They also look nice enough that my husband was able to wear them for work which is a major plus.

Comfortable and sufficient stretch, but smaller fit. You probably have to size up 1 size (my normal size 32 was too tight, size 34 fits perfectly. Stylish short if a swim/sport short is too sporty for the occasion.
