I hardly ever write reviews and considering how much I detest wearing a mask, well, this is worth reading. I am one of the why bother with a mask crowd. Yes, I understand the benefits but I can distance myself pretty easily, have tested negative for the virus, and don't hang around people who hang around people! However, due to the rules of most anywhere you go these days, I will wear one. I've been getting by with the regular blue paper masks but damn are the hot as hell to wear outside! Then the sweat starts soaking the mask and it sticks to you when you try to talk...ugh. So I saw these Safe-Mate masks mentioned and though I'd give them a try. What a difference! You can actually talk easily, breathe better and contrary to some people's reviews, they are so much better when you are outside in the Florida heat and humidity! The strap in the back didn't matter too much to me, though it does keep it in place better. I like the strap because you can wear the mask around your neck until you need to put it on, then all you have to do is pull it up and position the earloops! Easy and always ready for you. I find these soft, comfortable like a tshirt, and the stitching makes for a better fit around your nose and mouth. Give these a try because I think you'll be really surprised by them like I was. I just wish they came in other colors or at least get the white ones in stock long enough so I can buy them too!

These masks fit me well, and I think they look good. It covers the entire bottom half of my face with no gaps, which is excellent. The material is lightweight and comfortable. HOWEVER: I have some suggestions for improving the design and some info that buyers may want to know. 1.) The elastic strap connecting the ear loops is not adjustable and cannot be removed without cutting it off. This is probably my biggest criticism. This automatically makes the sizing an issue for people with larger heads, so if you are someone with a large head you should definitely go for the larger size option. I think a better design for this would be a removable and adjustable the strap. Alternatively, if the strap was not one solid peice but rather two peices that connect with velcro or a button or something, that would also be an improvement because it would make the masks easier to put on. As it is now, the only way to put the mask on is by putting it over your head and then adjusting its position on your face. This will probably mess up your hair if it is not cut short or pulled up/back. I usually wear my hair in a ponytail when I go out anyway, so this doesnt inconvenience me, but for other it definitely might. So this is not a good option if you want a mask that is easy to take off and on. 2.) The filter inserts they come with are very thin and flimsy, so I'm not entirely sure how much protection they really add. You can replace them with different ones (and they should be replaced whenever you need to wash the masks anyway), but it's just something buyers may want to know. Other than that, they seem to be good masks that do their job. The strap is really the biggest issue, so I may alter them a bit for the sake of convenience.

Super comfortable. My ears don't go numb from loop pressure, because the elastic strap is adjustable and relieves the pressure. Super easy to wash. Best of all, when you buy a pack of the PM2.5 thin white filters and insert one into the pocket between the inner and outer layers, the mask becomes an N95 mask. I wore mine for the five days around the time that the entire San Francisco Bay Area sky turned orange-red from wildfire smoke. We needed needed an LED table lantern to eat outside with a friend. My white PM2.5 filter insert showed a gray layer of very fine particles on the smooth outer face, which I tossed. When I washed the cloth mask, the water turned an ashy gray, exactly the color of the fine ash that was falling from the sky. Yet, during the entire event, I wore the mask outside when I had to shop for food and other essentials, or when I walked our dog around the neighborhood. I experienced ZERO throat or upper respiratory distress from the event. This mask is truly amazing. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I have tried many masks but these are just perfect - (1) fit on face is solid which is must to avoid any open area (2) the fit on head is easy slip on type (3) mask material is also smooth ….. been using this since few days and am very happy

Three stars only because the back elastic keeps slipping down and ends up on the neck. This distorts the way the mask rests on the face. It’s great without the back strap.
