Excellent for avoiding back injuries
Although I've worked extremely hard on form, I've suffered a series of lower back injuries. This book has amazing tools to help avoid this issue going forward. Armed with a huge variety of deadlifts and biofeedback, I feel empowered to tailor my workouts to my body's current needs.UPDATE:So almost a year since all the injuries, I'm no longer getting injured all the time. A lot of this shift was to do with the learning about biofeedback and also all the unilateral and awkward lifts in this book. This way of lifting and moving really opened up my mind. I'm having more fun in the gym and moving better than I have in decades. I'm over 50 and recently learned to traverse monkey bars for the first time in my life. I wasn't able to hold a dead hang for more than seconds when I started out. I'm working on one hand holds now. I'm so much more aware of my body and how it's reacting now as a result of this work and can adjust my training and play time accordingly.

Just BUY it!
Just bringing the fitness/lifting conversation to a whole new level. Really insightful work. How to make exercise/lifts/DL whatever work for you! Let your body's intuition guide your training. I hate the term bio-feedback but it really is going to give you better perspective for making big gains without the injury and nagging issues all too common with training. I am only about a 320 DL at the moment but this opens my eyes to easier gains.

It's not a bad book, but I guess it just wasn't as ...
I had much higher hopes for this book after reading someone's personal experience with the author. It's not a bad book, but I guess it just wasn't as "eye opening" as I had hoped it would be. Still don't like the Jefferson DL though.

Very happy I ordered this
Very happy I ordered this. Author goes into great detail about many exercises for the all important posterior chain and goes into great detail about how to perform them, and integrate them into your training. I view this as a must have book for anyone serious about total body strength.

Wish I could give it more stars, but cheaters never win
I wish I could rate this higher, but the author stole the cover art, so one star it is.

wrong focus
There is more information in the additional material than in the book itself. He concentrates mostly on the deadlift variations. Perhaps he should have used this space to describe better the auto regulation and bio feedback testing system, which is a central and original contribution.

If You Pull - You Need this Book
Great book on 'deadlifting' as well as auto-regulating training - choosing the right deadlift for your body on the day according to biofeedback - sounds complicated but it's simple and easy to apply in the gym. I wish I had this book 30 years ago - what a difference it would have made to my competitive lifting. Highly recommended without hesitation.

Covers important topics and is awesome for the price
However, it misses out on other arguably more important topics that should've been covered. For example, there's very little about bracing and how important it is and how it should be done and trained and perhaps should've explained and talked better about weak points, identifying them and correcting them.
