Doesn’t dim low wattage LEDs
It works but if you want to use LED bulbs- get the highest wattage you can find. I got GE’s ultra bright - 2,610 lumens. If you get a LED that’s low wattage it might not register. The switch has a minimum wattage threshold and is meant probably for halogen and incandescent bulbs. It’s works with the LED I bought though. A $10 bulb.

Incandescent Bulbs Only
It only works with incandescent bulbs, which are no longer avaiable in the US, so it's pretty useless.

A disappointing dimmer
I was disappointed with this dimmer. I bought it because of its small size. It just fit in a desk lamp that I use as a bedside lamp burning a single 100 W halogen bulb, well within the dimmer's 3 A (360 W) rating. Like another reviewer, I noted that only a small portion of the dimmer's rotational range was being used, and even at brightest the bulb was noticeably dimmer than before. I used it nightly for one or two hours. Four months later the new dimmer burned out. I replaced it with an on/off switch. In fairness, the new dimmer had little breathing room in my lamp, but none was called for in the product description.
