The company that makes this bottle reached out to me shortly after my purchase to make sure I was completely satisfied. For my use it's perfect! I'm using it at camp for all my filtered water needs. I have a 5 gallon water container I use to refill it with. My main requirement is that it doesn't leak because I don't want the area in my truck where I secure it during transit to get wet. This has happened before with collapsible style containers. I can say that so far after testing the X Bottle I haven't had any leaks! This bottle is rugged, well built and can take being tossed around. I removed the leash attachment and just use the built in handle which feels nice and balanced. The lid is solid and the spout flip cap makes a satisfying snap sound when being closed. There's really nothing negative to add. I'm glad I found this one!

Great bottle works for what I need.

The XBOTTLE 1 Gallon Water Bottle with Chug lid, etc is a great product for my needs. We drink bottled water, but I needed a smaller type jug to transfer the water from the 10 Gallon type water container that we purchase for our household to smaller pitchers, other standard sized water bottles, coffee brewer & our tea kettle. Everything about this product is great!. I would surely buy it again.

I have to use distilled water regularly and have found that the gallon jugs from the store sometimes spring leaks. It has happened with multiple store brands even from different parts of the country. To avoid risk of damage to furniture, I transfer to this container. It works great!

Feel sturdy. Good quality. Some water bottles have real finicky tops with stupid gimmicks to them. None of that here.Also, wide lid makes for easy mixing, pouring, and cleaning.I’ll probably buy another one and replace my other bottle to be honest.

The design in that area is great!Holds a whole gallon. There's not a whole lot of those.Cleaning was not fun. I cleaned it multiple times.... More on that later....I'd seen some people say theirs broke after they dropped it. I did drop mine once on carpet while it was full, but thankfully it didn't break or crack. I can see where there might be a need for some reinforcement in some areas.I sincerely do wish I didn't have to toss this in the garbage, but I just can't bring myself to use it anymore and will just have to carry a smaller water bottle. I wish that I didn't waste $30 on this product but that's the outcome.When I first got this, I gave it a good wash and I used it. The water tasted nasty, like chemical/rough. I use a Brita Ultra Max and always change my filter when it needs it. I'm still using the same filter now, and it tastes good like it always does. THIS water bottle is just gross. I washed it a couple of more times hoping maybe it was just a fluke. Each time, the flavor did get more tolerable but at the end of the day I just don't even want it taking up space in my kitchen anymore. I refuse to use.I used it yesterday and the best way I can describe the taste was pool water and/or cheap bottled water that had sat out in the sun and got hot. It still felt a little rough to drink too. I switched to another bottle, and it tasted good, so I know it's XBOTTLE at fault.Maybe I'm just super hyper picky about how my water tastes, because I can taste the difference. If you can taste difference between water, don't get this, you'll hate it. Unless you like the flavor of pool water.If I had to guess.... and this is just me making assumptions... The plastic is cheap and probably releasing micro-particles into the water. I don't care what it says its "certification" of plastic type is. I know what I tasted.

I’ve had other gallon bottles before but this one seems to be the nicest of quality. Love the ease of cleaning with it being dishwasher safe. 4/5 stars because I don’t think the 1 US GAL marking on the side of the bottle is 100% accurate. Which can be misleading. I filled my bottle up by pouring a plastic gallon water jug into it and it got filled up to the very top, almost overflowing. So the gallon marking on the bottle is slightly less than an actual gallon. Not really a huge dealbreaker as you are still getting in your gallon for the most part but just something to be aware of. If you want to drink your whole gallon of water fill it up to the very top.

With the bottle having a wide top, it's easy to clean inside the bottle if it gets dirty. I've been using this bottle for years and I have no problems. A different color cap would be nice.
