Through the Moon: A Graphic Novel (The Dragon Prince Graphic Novel #1)

Great extension of the show
After binge watching all the current seasons of The Dragon Prince, I was hoping for more and this was a great addition to it. It gives context between season 3 and 4, and I love the extra context it gives about certain characters. They bring a lot more depth into side characters and the main characters in this graphic novel. You go into season 4 kind of wondering what happened because there is a time skip, though I won’t spoil more in this review.I don’t expect this novel to be very complex like other reviews have stated, it is a show tailored to kids after all although it is still complex in its own way in my opinion. I love watching shows like The Dragon Prince, and movies similar such as How to Train Your Dragon and it is not as child-like as you’d expect it to be. It has a lot of those themes that kids would miss but adults would understand.

Good graphic novel for older teen
My daughter loves drawing, we watched this series on Netflix and she really likes this graphic novel.

Great Addition to the Main Story
This a is nice filler to have in between the long season break, and it ties directly into the main story.

Good Filler, but filler
Don't get me wrong, I love the "Dragon Prince" franchise as a whole. It's funny, charming, and has elements for both adults and children to enjoy. I'm anxiously awaiting the release of season 4, and am glad for this bridge/intermediary content until then. While it is known that there will be a time skip at the start of season 4 (presumably immediately following the events of this graphic novel) there is remarkably little that actually happens in this skip. *SPOILERS AHEAD* Phoe-Phoe is brought back to life, Allen ("biggest sword" guy) is at the moon nexus to build contraptions for Luajane's illusions, and Rayla risks her life for an unknown about her parents, Runaan, and Viren. It ends with Rayla leaving to hunt Viren on her own despite telling Callum they'll go together (go figure).**SPOILERS OVER**Overall, I still think it was a worthwhile purchase, I enjoyed it a lot, and I definitely recommend it for any dragon prince fan. I can't wait to see how these events tie-in to the show itself. I will say though that I hope that it'll be a similar relationship to the first few seasons of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, and the MCU where it's not REQUIRED to see (in this case read) the extra, but occasionally helpful.

Perfect for 8 year old.
This book was exactly what my 8-year-old daughter needed to reignite her love for reading. She had lost interest in books for a while, but a friend recommended this one to her. Initially, I was hesitant to buy another book she might not read, but since she specifically asked for it, I decided to give it a shot. The moment the book arrived, she couldn’t put it down. She stayed up and read the entire thing in one night! I was so impressed by how much she enjoyed it and how captivated she was by the story. Even better, this book sparked her interest in reading again—she’s now asking for more books, including the next one in this series for her birthday.I highly recommend The Dragon Prince: Through the Moon for young readers, especially those who might need a little nudge to get back into books. It’s engaging, beautifully written, and perfect for kids around this age.

Great book for all who have watched the first three seasons
I really enjoyed this book. Pretty good story to hold you over till season four. The story is great artwork is amazing and my only complaint is that it is only 130 pages. I don't know how much that is for other people but personally I read comics quick. I still really enjoyed this and recommend to all tdp fans. also i purchased the kindle digital version and it was great. NOTE do not read if you haven't seen the first three seasons or else this will not make sense. SPOILER what in the world is going to happen to rayla? That's what I asked my self so many times after I finished this book. I really hope that they say in season 4 or another graphic novel.
