U.S. Polo Assn. Men's Linen Suit

I was leery about a mail order suit but now I'm satisfied that the days of the old way of going to a large department store and hunting for what I want is now over. Part of it is selection. Ever since I stumbled into a linen shirt as a gift a bit ago, I've wanted a linen suit simply because the material looks great and feels better. While I never made a serious effort to find one locally, I did check when I was in or near a men's clothing store. When I asked about a linen suit, I was given some odd looks. I suppose in some worlds, wool is all there is. I figured the chances of me finding a linen suit of any size remote. Finding one in my size clearly was futile.So when I got a promo mailing from Amazon for the suit I wanted, in the size that fits me and even in my preferred color, I took a chance. Things worked out better than I'd hoped. The suit is well made. I can find no defects in material or workmanship. The sizing is spot on with one caveat. The pants come untrimmed so unless you're a Dane or a basketball player, you'll need to hem them. The jacket breast pocket has a handkerchief-like piece of material which gives the suit a rakish aspect.The pants are exact to the size chart so no issues on fit there. I am a bit annoyed by the overly fussy fastening the pants sport. First, you fasten a button, then set a hook in a loop (metal hook and loop - not Velcro) finally there's another button to fasten the tab down. I found this last button to be a real pain given my oversize clumsy hands. Gee, guys, why all the hardware?Still, in the end, I'm happy with this outfit. Due to an injury, I owe my wife an anniversary dinner. We'll be going soon and I know what I'll be wearing.

Overall, this is a better suit than I expected for the price. Two caveats to a prospective buyer: one, the jacket is "regular" cut (i.e. on the large side, especially with styles as they are today) so you may need to have the waist nipped in. Pants are fine (except they obviously need hemming). My biggest complaint is that there is a polyester lining inside the pants on the front down to knee level. This defeats the whole purpose of wearing breathable linen. It's a noticeable difference on a hot summer day. Other than that, no problems - jacket is fully lined and half canvas. The fabric itself is beautiful especially with some nice bright contrasting colors. Linen wrinkles, and so does this suit -- but you should know that already.I would say if you want a linen suit for the look of linen, go for it. If you're trying to get a real lightweight, breathable suit you may want to look elsewhere - that pant lining is a real killer, and the jacket would of course be much more breathable if it were minimally lined or unlined.

Buying a suit from Amazon sounds like a stupid thing to do, but this thing really fits. The fabric is cool and breaths. I am 5'8" and over 200 pounds and live in Louisiana with 98 degrees and 90% humidity. This suit lets me look sharper without the sweats. I splashed beet juice on one leg and had to hand wash it, but it came through the crisis unscathed. I did have to have the waist let out a tab, and the cuff comes unfinished, but for the price, I am VERY happy. It wrinkles like quality linen. I wish they came in more than one color.

I think this is a great suit for the price. Runs a tad small. It’s probably made with an Asian frame in mind... us Americans tend to run on the bigger side. I had it tailored so it’s perfect now. I like the material and the quality seems good. If you’re wearing every now and then you’ll be good. Obviously... if it’s something you will wear as part of your weekly rotation then the quality will show and it will not last long, but don’t get me wrong... the quality is akin to the department store bought suits (think Macy’s, etc.).

Like others who have reviewed this suit, I am PLEASANTLY surprised in the quality for the money. I am 5'10 and about 148 pounds so I purchased a 38R. The pants will need to be hemmed and I may have the waist let out a tad, but otherwise, the suit fits great. The fabric color and weight are perfect for warm weather. This suit could fit a range of occasions, from casual to dress. Add a nice bow tie, belt, and white bucks and this will look super stylish. I am very happy with this purchase! (By the way, I'm not sure why Amazon is showing that I purchased a 40S; the suit I ordered and received is most definitely a 38R.)

I am very skeptical about buying clothes online much less a suite for a wedding. All stores were closed due to covid lock down. So 2 weeks before our wedding date I purchased this suit for my husband. It arrived sooner than expected. I was extremely pleased at the quality, the color and the fit of the suite. The fit was true to size. 6Everything about it was perfect. I would definitely recommend this suite to anyone. Our wedding pictures were beautiful.

I expected the suit to need altered. But I did not expect everything to be so uneven. Altering the length of the jacket arms is nearly impossible because of the strange way that it is made. With suit jackets, they are usually easy to alter, but the way the lining is so into this made it almost impossible. But I suppose for the money we could’ve done a lot worse.

For the price, I really wasn't expecting much. Thought maybe it would get me through the summer. Wow, was I pleasantly surprised! The jacket fit like a dream. Pants have to be hemmed but that's not unusual. I usually wear a 42R coat and have the sleeves tailored up a bit. I took a chance (since it came with free return privileges) and ordered a 42S. Glad I did! Perfect fit in the sleeves with NO alterations needed. The fabric is of good quality. This is going to be a great suit for the sweltering Alabama summers!

Do designers even pay attention to sizes and their meanings? Why do people think everyone likes clothes that look painted on and don't permit you to bend?? Discrimination

The suit is of the highest quality . I recommend it thoroughly

Fue mi primera compra de vestimenta realizada en linea, con duda de que no llegará a tiempo, y/o que el traje no fuera como lo presentan. La verdad fue mejor de lo que esperaba, llegó en tan solo una semana y es de buena calidad!! Le realice un par de ajustes de costura para que quedara Slim Fit. En resumen, todo muy bien!!! Yes, I wore it to the office several times. The upper part of the pants are lined, so they are not see through. Lower part below the calves is not so it is see through. Breathes well, and the will need to be hemmed. Thankfully I did this myself at no extra cost. Wrinkles as you would expect a linen suit to wrinkle, but overall fits like any other slim suit. If you aren't a fan of slim fit, order a size up.

What happened when a small was a small and large was a large. They make clothes to look painted on these days. It's sad
