I had previously used the Ototek loop - it worked great. Then the loop broke off one day when I was cleaning it (thank God it didn't happen in my ear!) and that made me nervous to buy another one. After some research, I decided to get this Oto-Scoop. I've used it twice now and it has worked well each time. It's more flexible than the Ototek loop but it seems to do the same thing. Only time will tell if it will last. UPDATE: After 4 years, the loop finally broke (thinnest part cracked in half, but the loop stayed attached to the wand). It worked very well all those years and I am back to purchase another (and upgrade my review from 4 to 5 stars). For reference, I used it every 2-4 weeks, whenever I felt I needed it. I found the best time to do it is right after a shower, since the wax is softer, but it will still do a great job whenever you need to do it.

I purchased this tool to replace the Ototek loop I had (the tip of that one broke off after much use and my admittedly careless storage of it). While I like this tool, I think it is more suited for a child’s ear canals than an adult’s. I do really like that this tool has the safety guard feature, but for an adult, the length of the part that gets inserted into the ear canal could easily be another 1/4” long, at least, while still being safe. I also think that for an adult, the loop itself would be more useful if it had been made of a less-flexible plastic. It sometimes feels like the loop is sliding over wax instead of “grabbing” the wax. Overall, definitely worth the minimal price and does help my adult ears. I will still most likely continue trying to track down an exact replacement for my old Ototek loop and simply keep both loops on hand so that I may can have both options when needed.

What a horrible experience! I thought I was buying the OTOTEK original, and I only realized when I opened the package. This contraption was had a broken loop on arrival! And just as well, as it is so thin and flimsy, it would have broken in my ear trying to use it. It is garbage and that is where it went. Beware, the quality is so poor, you stand a good chance of hurting yourself. Check to see if it is not broken already before using.....

I tend to get a lot of ear wax (TMI, I know, sorry) so I have seen my fair share of ear wax removers. Usually things thing like this, a stick with a loop on the end, able to clean out my ear. This one however has a rather large loop and bends very very easily, making it hard to collect much of what I need. I would really recommend getting one made of strong, brittle plastic with a smaller loop. This may just be dependent on my ear situation, but I would say get a different remover. Gets the job done but not as easily.

Works great, soft and safe. I bought "clinere" at Walgreens then the fancy metal multi tool kit off Amazon. Neither worked to get the wax out and both hurt. My 3 year old had so much wax he complained he couldn't hear. This product works and doesn't hurt. My 3 year old no longer cries and runs away when I mention cleaning his ear and he can hear.

This product is easy to use and I have purchased it multiple times. It seems like the safest way to remove earwax. I would recommend this product to our family and friends. We have had to replace this product about every 6 months or so because the end does crack off or become loose. Its very nice because it stops you from going to far into the ear and damaging anything. Will continue to purchase this fantastic product.

I bought this as an alternative to the Ototek Loop. Which works perfectly well, but breaks after 6 months use. So I purchased this hoping the softer plastic would last longer. It seems to be made of the same HDPE you find in milk containers. Its so flexible and soft I found it did not work very well for my ears. It did remove some ear wax, but I think I would have received the same result sticking anything in my ear. Its one of the few things I have purchased that I just threw away, once I realized how worthless it was for my use.

One of the best baby things we have purchased. My daughter acts like we are killing her if we try to get boogers it ear wax ..this makes it super easy to scoop and done. Takes 2 seconds vs 30 seconds of screaming and digging. Only reason 4 stars instead of 5 is because the tip arrived bent but still works.

War zwar günstig. Hätte mir das Geld aber sparen können, Habe öfters Probleme mit Ohrenschmalz. Also für mich unmöglich damit etwas heraus zu bekommen. Muss leider ein Stern vergeben.

Helps with excessive ear wax so I don’t get ear infections

I was hesitant to buy this ear scoop because of a few bad reviews but, for the price decided to give it a try. Personally, I like this ear scoop. I started out very gentle, afraid to hurt myself, but then got more vigorous and found I was able to actually rub agressively all around inside my ear with this without any pain. Afterwards, I put in some ear cleaning drops and then did it again. My ears are squeaky clean. I like this and I am going to buy another for a friend who could use one.
