A book you'll want to seek your teeth into!
“Have I thought of getting you into bed?” He dropped his mouth to the valley of her breasts, kissing them both with a greedy, open mouth. “Almost as much as I’ve thought of getting you down the aisle.”I’m an avid fan of vampire romance, and a friend who has read Tessa Bailey's books recommended Reborn Yesterday to me. I had never read her books before but I was looking for something different because I’d been reading a lot of books that didn’t click for me and felt like they were all the same and lacking originality. This book, however, did not disappoint!Ginny is a funeral home director who prepares the dead, and Jonas is the epitome of the undead. She is an old soul trapped in a young body, and well, so is he—it’s a match made in heaven—and there is this instant connection and attraction between them I love to read in books. And Ginny is soooo right—Jonas is such a DREAMBOAT! He is so dreamy and swoon worthy and everything a (human) man should be! For me, what makes or breaks a book is the male lead, and Jonas Cantrell definitely made the book for me!I do have to say though, Reborn Yesterday reminded me of Twilight, in the sense that they both involve a broody male vampire hero forbidden from a relationship with a human but can’t stay away, and also there is the vampire royalty who make the vampire law in both books. They are recurring themes with a lot of vampire books, shows and movies, and I thought those aspects could’ve been more original in Reborn Yesterday, but the two main characters were original enough that I could look past that. I like that Ginny is a quirky, funny girl rather than serious and equally broody as the male lead like Bella was. I liked Twilight, but I like Tessa and Jonas far better than Bella and Edward, there really is no comparison. So those were my thoughts while reading the first several chapters and then I got to chapter nineteen. Before I get into the more mature aspects of the story, first you have to know, I normally try to avoid smut scenes in books like we’re all trying to avoid Covid19, and not for the reasons you may think. I avoid them not because I am uncomfortable with these kinds of scenes, in fact, I have no problem reading them (or writing them), but I’ve read a lot of books where I get to the smutty scenes and there are just so many awful euphemisms for genitalia and laughable or cringe-worthy dialogue or descriptions, or the characters just lack passion or chemistry and it just turns me away from the book altogether. You know the smut is bad when you’re laughing or cringing while reading it unless the humor and cringe factor are for some reason intentional. BUT let me tell you, I did not skip the smut scenes in this book, and in fact, I couldn’t wait to get to them because the author’s writing style was just so fabulous, I knew she would do justice to the steamy scenes, and HOLY MOLY were they hot and steamy!!!! I’m still recovering from them!!! I have never read Tessa Bailey’s work before but Damn, she can write some smut! Then I arrive at the ending, and it was such a wonderful twist in many ways, but I won’t mention them because I don’t want to spoil anything. This book really takes you on a roller coaster of emotions and when you get to the epilogue, you’ll have a huge sweet tooth because it was such a cute and perfect ending to an incredible story! Now I am craving more of Ginny and Jonas, I am so looking forward to reading more about Roksana and Elias, who were wonderful additions to the story, along with Tucker, and I will definitely check out more of Tessa’s books. My heart goes out to the author for writing this after the passing of her father. Thank you, Tessa, for a great read!

Fun, heartwarming, sexy, very entertaining fantasy, vampire rom com
WHOA! Okay I have not read any paranormal, fantasy, vampire romantic comedy genre before so this a first for me. And I LIKE! This story started out with a bang. Ginny, a director at a funeral home was getting ready to embalm a handsome young man but before she could get very far, he opened his beautiful eyes, sat up as if he was just awake from a nap. Ginny and Jonas legit shared a conversation, a walked around the block and that changed the course of her life forever. The two had an unusual connection and familiarity about one another. The attraction was instant but more than that they are convinced they are forever soulmates. Is that even possible? Jonas is a vampire and Ginny is human, or is she? Jonas and Ginny are in for a rocky ride, to put it mildly. Jonas wasn’t supposed to stay. He is supposed to wipe Ginny’s memory clean after that night but Ginny reveals a secret that hauled their plan. Jonas and Ginny’s life are more intertwined they thought. Human and vampire. Past and Present. Darkness and Light. Forbidden love, sacrifices, consequences and HEA. I felt it dragged a little bit in between but enough was going on that I was so curious I could not stop. Sexy and fun hero and heroine. The secondary characters are awesome too. Love Roksana – hilarious and such a spitfire. Elias seems tough but a love-sick fool I rather. The ending was intensely good. Overall, this was such an intriguing read. Fun, heartwarming, sexy, very entertaining. Can’t wait for Roksana and Elias!!!

Please read my reasons...
So I am a major TB fan. This woman can write a d@mn book! If this is your first TB book, please try another. I have never read a book by her that didn't leave me with a hangover...Reasons for 3 Stars: I felt this book was rushed. It draaaaagggggged in the beginning and it actually took me over a week to finish as opposed to my finish it because I have to now even if it takes until 4AM and I have to be at work at 8. Next, when it didn't drag, it was "over packed" and "accelerated" . There were times where I thought to myself I wished she had just made a 1000 page book so she could properly give the detail you could tell she wanted. By over packing, I felt I almost couldn't keep up with what was happening. I couldn't get enveloped like I usually do with her books. Now, what I loved was in true TB style, the loving was wonderful and not over ( or under 😉) done. The story over all was a good one. It was so original. At times, as a massive book reader, you get jaded on the similar story being rewritten and just have to enjoy the characters and the style in which the writer used. This was not the case here. This was very original and kept me going. I HAD to know how it ended!Tessa, I applaud your perseverance during the passing of your father who I feel there were some things left unsaid. Keep going. Thank you for allowing us, your readers, to feel and grow with you.

A perfect surprise
Ginny Lynn works the night shift in her father’s morgue and is shocked to discover her newest body is not quite as dead as she thought. When Jonas opens his eyes, there’s no going back for either of them and they soon find themselves more entwined than either of them imagined.Ahhhh I loved this book. Tessa Bailey + vampires was the mix I didn’t know I was looking for. It was so perfectly angsty, romantic and funny too. The high-stake plot was intriguing, there were fantastic fight scenes and of course 🌶️🌶️Cannot wait to re-read 🥰

A decent paranormal romance read
Reborn Yesterday is your regular girl meets vampire and they fall for each other love story. If you keep your expectations in check and go for it, this is actually quite a decent read. The plot is entertaining, of course, with the right amount of pacing and quite likable characters. However, the romance while I enjoyed reading wasn’t fresh enough, if I am being honest.

A wonderful surprise!
I’ve been looking for some time now a vampire romance but I had not found one I liked. I didn’t know Tessa Bailey had written one, I’m already a fan of hers and had no doubt. I bought it and loved every minute of it! Jonas and Ginny’s love was so beautiful. Both of them were lovable characters and I couldn’t wait for their HEA! The secondary characters were also soooo awesome! Roksana and Tucker are my favorite! I can’t wait for the next books!
