Does this work for ashy skin?

Hello there, Sorry to hear that you have ashy skin. Honestly, I really do not know if this facial mask is going to help your skin type. However, it certainly does help people with dry or combination skin type after every application. Keeping one's skin moisturized takes a lot of self-discipline and know what products work on the skin and what products to avoid. The main cause of ashy skin is that one’s skin does not have the necessary moisture on the top layer of their skin. Laundry soap, bath soap, fabric choices, long, hot showers and dry weather can cause this lack of moisture and create “ashy” or dry skin. It can also be caused by certain medications, especially those for diabetes, malnutrition, hypothyroidism, and psoriasis. One can even have a genetic predisposition for dry skin. Also drinking alcohol or exercising without replenishing fluids can cause dry skin as well. It is important to isolate the cause or causes of dry skin to try to eliminate it from one’s life if possible. All I can say is that you should try different products for at least a few weeks (some may take months) in order to see/feel if they really work. Don't just quit or switch to another brand, cream or lotions after a few uses. Keeping our skin moisturized and avoid direct sun exposure are imperative. However, it does not mean that you must slather your skin with oily/greasy cream which may in turn clog the pores causing acne. Pick a product which helps keep one's skin hydrated is 2nd step. 1st step is definitely the type of cleanser you use and how hard it is. That said, go for something not too "heavy" on your skin. Cetaphil is a good brand but there are definitely more brands/cleansers that work as well as Cetaphil. Sorry, can't help much with your question. Wishing you all the best! Regards,

Do I moisturize after I use the mask?

It depends on your skin type and the weather. If you have combination skin and it is cold/breezy outside, moisturizer is a must. If you are referring to spring/summer, moisturizer with SPF30 and above are highly recommended. Re-apply the sunblock every two hours, or one hour if you sweat a lot. Anyway, just ensure that the moisturizer is not too "heavy/rich" that may become a burden to your skin. Sometimes, less is more. Hope the above helps.

How often does La Pure recommend to use these masks?

I'm not really sure. I use them 1x week at night for 25 minutes. Make your skin feel wonderful.
