I would assume so, but proceed with caution if you are worried. My roots are brown, however have been dying my hair red for years. So, it has always been great for me!

I have jet black hair with some inner grays. I would like to lighten up my hair would this do the trick??

this product is for my wife but yes her hair was black and this changed the color and covers her gray hairs. plus she gets lots of compliments from other women on the color. it does show more in the sun, but she sticks with this one, and since I cant find it in stores I usually buy 5 or 6 at a time.

If this is discontinued, how long would I actually be able to get this?

I'm not really sure on how to answer that are you asking me if the color is discontinued how do you get it.. I find if I can't find the color on Amazon you can find it on Walmart but if I'm not understanding your question correctly please let me know and I'll help to the best of my ability
