Company Of Animals CLIX Dog Car Harness SM, 21 to 25-1/2-Inch Girth

I purchased this for our long-haired Cocker Spaniel who weighs about 22 lbs. It's a really nice harness and seems comfortable on him once you get it on (which is literally a snap). The only "con" is that the area where you slip his neck through is a little tight - I think some elastic there would help and wouldn't compromise safety. I would recommend this to a friend.

This look great; but, I had to return it. The problem wasn't with the harness but the fact that I needed something different to be able to use with the doggy car seat.

I bought this item last week for my Cocker Spaniel pup. The item is very well made and the chest support and straps are of strong and robust construction. I had to adjust the under chest straps to the tightest setting, but this will allow some room for expansion as my pup grows. The harness comes with two methods of attaching the harness to the car seat belt assembly. The first is by directly clicking in a seat belt clip attached at the end of a strap positioned centrally on the top of the harness, The second method is by threading the cars seat belt through an opening in the same central strap. I discovered to my cost that the second method is by far the safest. I put my pup on the back seat of the car this morning to go for a walk. I used the first method I described, attaching the central strap directly into the seatbelt.After a couple of minutes he let out a terrible yelp, I pulled over and discovered that because the strap goes behind and downwards he had wrapped the strap around his back leg and effectively was unable to move So from now on I will be threading the seat belt through in order to avoid any chance of him getting entangled again.

I bought this for my Cocker Spaniel. It fits him but the neck piece is a bit tight to get off over his big ears. It goes on ok. I bought a large for my Labrador a few years back and the neck size wasn't a problem. Having said that, I like the fact that it fastens with clips under the frong legs rather than having to double the leg up to get it through a loop some harnesses do. Very sturdy and good quality and keeps him safe in the back of the car.

Bought these for my Jack Russell and my partners Pug to wear whilst travelling long distances for our UK Holidays. Very happy with them, can adjust to fit perfect. The dogs look comfortable wearing them, plus you can clip a lead on when walking the dogs. Would highly recommend. I was involved in a five car crash, luckily the dogs weren’t in the car at the time, now they always wear their seatbelts when travelling, gives me peace of mind that they are safe.

This is the 2nd Clix Car Safe Dog harness I have bought....as my 6 month old Coton de Tuleur puppy had outgrown the extra small one that we first bought him when he was tiny.I have tried other makes of harnesses, both before and after buying the first one, but he never looked comfortable in any of them and kept getting his mouth around the front of the harness which then led to him getting his jaw stuck.......obviously this concerned me when he was in the back of the car and I was driving and couldn't get to him.The Clix harness is really good......very comfortable padding at the front and I know he feels secure and safe. The added bonus of having the ability to click the harness directly into the rear car seat is a god send as most of the other harnesses don't allow this making the dog feel very restricted.If like me you have tried other harnesses for your dog/puppy and not been happy then please try this one as I would definitely recommend it.

Comfortable fit and has a naturally calming effect in the car. Found clips in easily to cars existing seat belts. Piece of mind knowing my pets harness has also been safety tested. Absolutely great can walk her with it as well. As can see my dog looks happy in her Clix CarSafe harness. Not had any problems once she realized a treat if she put her head through the neck piece. Rest clipped in very easily. We purchased a small size as underneath her fluffy fur is a small dog! For a larger neck would advice a bigger size. Maybe a neck size would be more useful in addition to chest size. Overall can heatedly recommend the harness.
