the 25 pound bucket is a good value
In a typical season, a Doheny's 25 pound bucket is about right. I appreciate being able to buy the chemicals I need for the year. The bucket itself is sturdy and shows no signs of wear and tear after a year of use.The actual pH up chemical is comparable to similar products, and is high quality.This product is described as "pro grade", but it is well suited for me, a homeowner with a typical size pool (a little under 20,000 gallons). I have shopped around a few times and keep coming back to this one. This is the third time I have bought this. The combination of size, quality, and price make this the best choice for me.I bought a measuring cup and keep it in the bucket, making this the easiest part of my pool maintenance routine (a couple of scoops from an 8 oz cup is about a pound of product).

If you have a hot tub this is the way to go. Large containers but so much cheaper than smaller quantities

It’s pure and it’s inexpensive.
It is pure sodium carbonate. When you go looking for pH+, you want pure sodium carbonate and you don’t need to care where our packaged for swimming pools, cooking, or any other purpose. Get the least expensive you can get. At the time that I needed it, Doneny’s had the best price I could find.
