USA Beer Cap Map - Skyline Workshop - beautiful maple wood - Beer Cap Holder - Made in the USA! - great Father's Day Gift!

I gave this to my brother-in-law for a Christmas gift this year, so I am limited as to what feedback I can truly give (i.e. I do not know how it looks with the bottle caps in, I do not know how receptive the material is to bending/inserting caps, etc.). However, when I received it I immediately liked it (and my come back to get one for my husband). It looks nice (I didn't see any flaws in the wood) and it could easily be stained or painted if I chose to match my furniture. The only complaint I may have is that I did think the wood itself was a little thin when I opened it. It was thin enough that I was worried about breaking it (so much so that I wrapped it in the cardboard box it came in). I did not take any stars off for this though, due to the fact it may be an advantage when you put it on the wall. I also wish it came with rings to hang it already attached (all that was included as 4 thin nails, but nothing in the back of it to attach it to the wall). But both of these complaints are minor, so again you could fix them on your own. But to make a long story short, I like it and it's a fun excuse to drink. :)

So I ordered this wood engraving because it allows me to reflect upon the new tastes in my brewing community. It doesn't just act as a symbolic cultural statement, but it's a well crafted piece of art that looks very nice in my kitchen and it's simply a lot of fun to fill up the holes with the caps i've collected from around my community. When my friends come over with a new 6 pack of beer from the local brewery or even from a distant brewery it acts as a future reminder of great times I've shared with my community and places I've been. In way I view my beer cap map as a kind of culinary passport for craft beer. It's something i'll keep with me for a long time.

This is the perfect gift for any beer-lover. Being relatively lightweight, even full of beer caps, it is a breeze to hang on any wall. Use a couple of nails and you're good to go.At first I wasnt sure how to put in the beer caps. You'll notice the spots are all open without any backing to hold the caps in place. There are three grooves in each opening that hold the caps. You kind of have to push hard to get them in place. Personally, I would lay the cap holder on top of a cap on a flat table and press down on either side of the holder with my hands about an inch apart. This was the best way for me to get them all level.Looks great on any wall.

Please don't heed the 1 star reviews here...they are petty reviews by competitors and not a true reflection of the quality of this masterpiece. It's an awesome map, well worth the money, and a great gift. It arrived very well and securely packaged. It's thick, well cut, and clearly made of high quality wood. This arrived very safely packaged and without any worries about damage. The map is very well made and the holes are perfect for the bottle caps. My brother in law loved it and is excited to put it up. It comes with perfect hanging holes already pre-drilled. Also, came with a free 'gift' of a few etched wooden coasters, which was an unexpected and appreciated surprise. It is a great product!Follow up! It has been a few month and my brother in law still loves it, it is perfect for his caps, he has almost filled it! One thing to mention, if your cap is bent or messed up it's not going to fit, it's not a flaw in the map, you have to be careful when you uncap your beer if you want it to be part of your map!

Perfect for displaying bottle caps from your favorite drinks. This was purchased a gift for my father and he loves it. He likes to try new an different beers from all over the country. This map is now used to save the caps from his favorites you he remembers the ones he liked and can get them again. The map does come with mounting nails to secure to a wall, but it has to be taken down every time to add a new cap. Right now, we have it propped against the wall on top of the bar until it's complete and ready to be displayed.

Thought this was perfect for my husband who travels all over the country and likes to try different beers. Thought it was a little weird that it had more than 50 spaces, when I ordered it I thought it was more like a beer for each state. But still, it came very protected in the shipping box and my husband was very happy!
