Ergon GA3 Ergonomic Lock-On MTB Grips – Winged Design for Mountain Bike Comfort and Wrist Support, Black, Small

Took a chance when ordering these and now I'm very happy I chose this brand. Right out of the packaging the material feels great. They are comfortable in regards to absorbing shock. They aren't too bulky in my small hands. I was having a very hard time finding Bontrager xr endurance comp in stock anywhere online, so I have tried a few alternatives that didn't suit my application too well. I noticed these were similar in design and they ended up being a perfect match for me. Excellent quality and very easy to install. I replaced the end cap with the screw on end so that I won't have any issues if I bump into anything. Overall I'm very pleased I look forward to upgrading to these on all of my mountain bikes.

These Ergonomic grips are my preferred grips, very comfy with the palm wings. Easy to put on and stays secure with tightening screws. An essential upgrade for all my emtbs. Highly recommended!

I'm a type 1 diabetic that loves riding my MTB. I also do a lot of carpentry and auto mechanic work. General inflammation along with diabetes has led me to having carpal tunnel release operations on both wrists about 10 years ago. I also have a trigger finger problem on my right middle finger. I was having a hard time with pain and numbness after about 5 miles of riding with regular round grips. I learned to lightly hold on to my grips similarly to properly holding a golf club...and that helped marginally. When I found these GA3 grips I had to try them...and they solved every problem I've ever had with pain and numbness in my hands while riding to a level that I don't recognize while riding. At the same time my hands are always in the right place because I've accurately clocked these grips to correct my wrist angle in my riding position. For a little while I had then clocked about 20 degrees too high and that caused problems, then I overcompensated and clocked them too far the other way. Now they are perfect. I think these grips are great for everyone, not just people with tingling, numbness and pain. I think they help battle general hand fatigue on longer distance rides also. i bought the large ones because I like to ride with my hands slightly open as opposed to having a tight grip. For reference, when I buy snug fitting work gloves I usually buy large size. Thanks Ergon!

OMG, I love these grips. I'm 56 years old and have arthritis in both of my wrists due to an old Army injury. My wrists would be extremely painful with my stock grips. I put these on yesterday and rode for three hours without so much as an iota of pain. Numbness in my fingers is gone as well. Every bike I get will have these on them from now on. And they are super grippy as well.

Very comfortable grips and I like that I could get purple to match my bike. My only critique is I don’t like the end caps with the white design. I think it would’ve looked nicer with black, that is just a personal preference though. Easy to install.

The good: Fit my hands well and are helping me keep my wrists in a more comfortable position. Seem to help with arm pump. Well made and easy to install. The not-so-good: I only have a few rides on these and have already lost both bar ends from minor contact with trees. Long term I hope these will help with tendonitis (golfer's elbow) in my elbows by keeping my wrists in a better position for riding.

This ergon grips are awesome, they have almost eliminated the pain on my wrist. I’m still adjusting to them. In order for you to eliminate the pain on the wrist . I suggest that you go out on a couple of rides and take your tools to make the proper adjustments on the grips. My first ride made my fingers and hands numb. I went on a couple of rides made a couple of adjustments along the trails and the pain on my wrist is almost gone, the numbness is definitely gone. I ride about 10-30 miles a week. At first I had my doubts because of the way they look thought it was funny looking but my old grips keep giving me too much pain. I’ve only been riding for about a year and a half, after 20 years of not riding bicycles. I bought the Odi grips thinking they were good based on reviews. I bought them for my GT last year and then upgrade to the Giant Trance . They kept giving me too much pain on my wrist . This grips are easy to install and it’s texture is real comfortable. I will continue to make any adjustments until I find the perfect setting.

I don't know WHAT I would do if I ever had ride w/o these grips. I was getting serious issues with my hands when riding my hardtails on longer rides. I use the GP1 on my hardtail but that would be too much for my FS mountain bike. These looked just right, and it turns out they are. Most MTB riders are not going to need this kind of grip, but my hands get tortured in my work, and a little extra ergonomic comfort really works for mountain biking. Paired with my good gloves, I have no issues with my hands anymore while riding with these grips. Other riders are saying that it has to do with bar/stem height, saddle position, etc., I've been through ALL of that. Everything for "fitting" is putting me in the correct position, this one really comes down to my hands. There's something else I think is important here as well. Often times when mountain biking, you want to have loose/light grip on the bars, and sometimes you need to grip tightly, depending of course on the terrain you're navigating through. When I need a sudden momentary tight grip and more control, these things distribute your strength more evenly. There's is more strength and force in your hand the closer you get away from your fingers and nearer to your palm. If some of that strength gets distributed to your GRIP, you'll distribute that strength as a far better grip on the bars leading to less fatigue. The grip of the pattern and material is superb. I would suggest you ride them with gloves, but I always say MTBing with gloves is a no-brainer anyway, and I have NO slipping issues at all, in any conditions even plowing down over some rough rock garden terrain. The collet mounting screw hasn't loosened or moved at all. There are a lot of high quality pro level grips for MTB that I think are fantastic products, but I wouldn't use anything else due to that extra material extension that I really have to ride with to eliminate fatigue.
