First time making it raw
The company was very responsive when I thought I had lost my package and quickly offered to replace it -- which turned out not to be necessary when I was able to locate the package. But they were fast to respond and willing to make right any problems with shipping. As to the product, I have just started using it. But it is very easy to use -- much easier than mixing everything yourself. The whole process took less than 3 minutes. So far, we are transitioning to the new food. She would not eat it alone -- but she had no trouble once we put a bit into her regular wet food. We're now up to half and half, and so far it's working very well. The ingredients are all human quality, and limited to the essentials....the rest is what I put in (ground turkey). I'm very happy to know exactly what my cat is eating. UPDATE: OK, she loves this stuff. We were feeding her primo commercial stuff before, but always a few crumbs left. Now, she licks the plate clean and comes back later to make sure. We're done with transitioning -- especially after I didn't mix a batch thoroughly enough and the chunks left by her were clearly from her old food. So, we're done with that. Very economical too, on Turkey. But, I'm gonna try to rotate in different meats, chicken next which will cost more, then maybe lamb. I'd love to find a good place for ground rabbit. I hope by varying the meats to also vary the nutrients slightly, but I'll update later when I see how other meats work out. But, at this point -- couldn't be happier with her improved appetite and energy, and I think her coat is looking richer/glossier, but that could just be winter coming.

Cats not interested
I mixed this as the directions said, 1 lb chicken, 3/4 cup water, 1/4 c mix. My cats would not eat it. Waisted a lb of chicken.

An Easier Way to Add ESSENTIAL Nutrients to Homemade Cat Food
This is a good idea, because cats get life threatening illnesses if they do not get enough of the right nutrients—especially taurine and bone meal. Only one of my cats, however, would eat the raw food. I added the mix to cooked chicken and they were still lukewarm about it. They were feral from a garden where the caught mice and gophers, so they were used to VERY fresh, raw food. For example, they love cooked chicken, but won't eat it if it's more than a day old. The previously frozen, ground chicken that I bought from Co-opportunity in Santa Monica may have been off-putting to cats who are used to food on the hoof, so to speak. When I have more time to grind fresh chicken myself, I will try it again.

Raw Food Made Easy
I've been very pleased with this product. When we adopted our cat from the Humane Society we knew commercial dry food was out of the question. Our previous cat was a diabetic that we were able to correct with food. The only thing I didn't like about our previous raw food diet was it was time consuming and I worried about proper nutrients. I would grind up whole chicken with organ meat. This makes it so much easier and I don't have to worry about nutrient ratios. Our kitty loves it and we've noticed huge improvements in her since we adopted her. Great energy levels, less shedding, softer coat, less stinky litter box. Our meal prep takes 10 minutes max and I've got about 12 days worth of food. I use one pound of ground chicken and one pound of ground turkey. I think meat type can vary. We tried to mix in beef twice and she threw it up both time so we just stuck with poultry. The powder dissolves real easy and mixes in the meat well. At first it seemed like a lot of water and the meat was soupy but as you mix thoroughly it gets thicker. I put single servings in reusable jars marketed for homemade baby food. One jar is perfect for one serving. I've also used the baby food ice cube tray method but prefer the jars. I pull out 2 at a time to defrost in the fridge for her daily meals. Super easy.

Good premix - but pricey for kittens but cheaper than premium wet can foods if prepped
I do raw feeding for my cats, but when I get a kitten in for foster I make sure they get all nutrients esp. if they missed meals due to transitioning to my home or just not in a growth spurt. I also have older cats that are dental-disabled and can't chew any bone. This is good to help the nutrient gap. I usually don't add this for cats that never miss meals or adult cats because they get meat/heart/liver/bone/etc from their regular meals. I've been doing this for awhile since I also have a dog. This is great to have but it's a tad expensive considering kittens on raw eat around 4oz to 8oz or more per day. Also, I wouldn't just use only the same base meat forever esp with this because this pre-made isn't totally complete long-term wise, either. With raw diet I cycle through chicken/turkey/beef/pork along with other organ meats and muscle meats. A complete raw diet with cycling proteins won't have gaps, and many raw feeders use supplements based on their cats needs. Some math for those interested: The trial size says it will make food for 3 weeks, which is 4oz of meat a day for a cat around 10lb. If you buy the 1.5lb bag it's around $13.4 dollars per month instead of 17. If you use chicken meat at 1.89lb for the trial it's about $28 in total for 3 weeks. If you pay about 1.50 a day to feed a cat on fancy feast or more premium brands it would be $45. Maybe $15-20 for the really cheapest stuff from purina on sub and save (but it's cheap for a reason). If a cat eats 4oz of raw meat a day for a month, and you DIY raw feeding yourself without Know Better, you can get it for $2/lb it's 7.5lbs, or $15 cost. Or $22.50 for $3/lb. If you DIY raw yourself it should be same or less than Know Better. Overall, seems like a good product, will run more expensive with a kitten or maine-coon levels of cat. But doesn't seem 100% complete long-term as a raw diet completer, and the diet will need some more protein variety every now and then even with Know Better.

My cats loved it right away but the price is too much for trial size I could make 2 day meal for 6 cats since it’s a trial size I hope the price gets a little less and that Amazon starts having more premix’s like this

I have 3 cats and have been using Know Better for several years. This is the first time It’ve bought it on Amazon as in the past I bought it directly from the manufacturer. The main reason I love this product is that it gives me peace of mind because I know exactly what’s going into my cats’ food, which as far as I’m concerned, is priceless. The only negative I noticed was that when I buy this directly from the manufacturer it comes with a slightly better expiry date.

Very easy to use, Cats didn't mind it at all. Love knowing their food is healthy and fresh and where it's coming from.

I took in a feral cat that is perhaps two years old. Quickly became obvious dry kibble did not agree with his digestion so I tried this product. His bowl is licked clean, his coat has stayed soft and smooth, breath is clean and no more litter box issues. Highly recommended.
