My only complaint about simcoe is that it's hard to get at times. But it's tops for an IPA.

Simcoe Hops
The HopUnion hops sent to me were horrible, they did not smell like Simcoe hops and smelled more like bad cheese. I needed hops quickly for a beer I was brewing and ordered from Amazon since they would arrive in one day. What a mistake and I will never get any brewing ingredients from Amazon and will give all of my business to a local home-brew supplies store. Also, I use HopUnion hops all the time and they have a great product, these hops could not have been store well and I have no idea how old they are. Buyer Beware!

I haven't used these yet but it looks from the packaging like they might be from 2014 which would be a little disappointing. I'll update this review when I open the bag and use them. They went immediately into the freezer.

Hops are too old.
These hops were to old. I purchased February 2018. These were from the 2016 crop. Hops are only harvested once a year generally in September. So these hops were 17 to 18 months old. Hops lose 50% of there Alpha Acid after 12 months, and that is only if they are stored correctly. Hops sellers on Amazon should be required to state the harvest year of the hops they are selling. Buyer beware. If you use old hops, your beer will not have the flavor profile you expect.
