Easy to use.... Time will tell!
I've got a slow leak somewhere on my 16 year old r410a 3ton Lennox Hvac - losing about 2lb of refrigerant over 8 months or so.Decided to try this leak saver as a last ditch hail Mary before biting the bullet and replacing the system. Used the charge in with refrigerant method - tube was clear and it was in in a couple of seconds, very simple. Left the tube attached while I topped up the rest of the refrigerant to the correct level. System is currently running great again, heating and cooling as it should. It's only been 3 weeks and given the leak is very slow before it becomes noticeable, it might be a while before I can tell if this has worked or not. I have shined my UV light round the usual suspect leak spots....have not seen any dye. Will check back in in a few months to see how it's doing, fingers crossed at this point!

Effectiveness
I had "professionals" come look at my central 410A A/C unit. It has a slow leak, frosting every 3-4 months so figured they could find and fix the leak. They charged over $400 to come out and tell me there was a leak. They provided pictures of the inside low side piping as where the leak is and said it would be over $1700 to fix it. That's when I decided to become an A/C repairman. Figured for that price I could buy all the tools and equipment I need to fix it myself. To make a long story short, I found the leak outside on the low side piping (no leaks on the inside). I can replace the copper or try this product that says it stops the leak, takes water out of the refrigeraterant, and injects an infrared die so I can check if it continues leaking. For the price it is a no brainer. The sealer has been in for several weeks but since it was a slow leak, I won't know if it worked, or not for several months. I expect next seasons start-up will determine if it works. Meanwhile they offer a free infrared light (hence this review). Once I get it I'll do another once over on the unit to identify any other leaks I may have missed.

An absolute miracle
I honestly don't know what to say here. I have a 2008 Highlander Hybrid, and every mechanic told me it would cost $2500 to replace my evaporator because the entire dash needed to be removed (great job, Toyota). There was no way I was spending $2500 on a 12 year old car with 170K miles on it.They tried recharging it at the mechanic. After 2 days it was back to blowing hot air. This indicated a rather large hole, especially after a second recharge didn't last more than a few hours. There was no way around it, I was going to have to spend $2500 or sell the car to someone in Canada or something :DSo the Leak Saver was a last-ditch effort.First, I had to pump in some cheapo refrigerant I bought at Walmart just to get the compressor running. Once it was running, I injected the Leak Saver, and then injected some high quality refrigerant, and then I let the system run full-blast for about 45 minutes. I was cautiously optimistic when the system was still cooling the next day. I was VERY optimistic when all was good after about 3-4 days. Well, it's about a month later and my car is still cooling me, even on days when the DC heat gets to 92 and high humidity!THIS STUFF SAVED ME AT LEAST $2300!! All-in, I'd say that the Leak Saver and refrigerant cost me about $120. I'm happy to pay that much to fix a 12 year old vehicle and keep it running a little longer. If I have to do it again next summer, I'll definitely use the Leak Saver again.I can't speak highly enough of this product. If I have ANY complaints, it would only be the mechanism on the auto injector. I followed the instructions to the letter and quickly screwed on the CO2 cartridge, but no matter how little or how much I tightened it, the CO2 leaked out. I'm fortunate that the pack came with a couple cartridges, because the first one just blew out completely before I could do anything. The second one leaked slowly and gave me just enough time to inject the leak saver into the system before it depleted. The mechanism is made of plastic and I don't think it's up to the task. If I ever need to do this again, I'll probably find the connectors I need in order to push the leak saver through with the refrigerant so I can use a better injector.But I gave this five stars because I don't care about all that. I care that this thing worked and literally saved me thousands of dollars.
