I'm addicted to this beef tallow now and have just ordered my second container of it. It's got an amazing flavor and the price is very reasonable. It's replaced lard, butter, and olive oil in all of my cooking. My only complaint is one that's been mentioned in the reviews elsewhere - the packaging. When I received it, the container had evidently leaked a little and tallow had coated the outside of the carton, making it slippery and nasty, and dissolving the labeling to the point that it left black smears on my hands when I pulled it out of the shipping box. The carton was also flimsy to the point of being mushy. I bought a clear plastic sealable container, then transferred the tallow to it, and since then it's become a staple in my kitchen. I highly recommend this product under the proviso that you be careful when opening it and be ready to immediately transfer it to a better container.EDIT, July 25, 2025: I received my second bucket of tallow today and happily the top hadn't leaked during shipment this time. Unfortunately, the seal under the lid DID blow out as soon as I pulled the carton out of the shipping box. I was ready for it this time, though, and had my permanent container ready for the transfer. In thinking about it, I'm not surprised about the leak, since the product is packaged in Chicago at about 600' elevation and I live in the Colorado high country at 7,400'. Beef tallow evidently expands as the air pressure goes down. (You should see some of our rock-hard potato chip bags!) If you live where the air is actually thick enough to breath, you probably won't have this problem. I'm still in love with this product and I'm changing my rating from a four to a five based on my stupid altitude.

I've ordered this product 27 times this far. The product is incredible... I know, always substitute any cooking oil for this product. If you are a meat eater, egg eater or baker... This is ABSOLUTELY a must have product. The flavor is insane, smoke point is high and it's a healthy alternative that is vitamin dense. Worth every dollar. Keep em coming South Chicago Packing!

Awesome product! After finding out how bad Crisco is this became the replacement. Excellent in pie crusts, biscuits, oil for greasing a pan, cooking with venison. Excellent additional flavor to the food.

Not the cheapest, good quality and a little goes a long way.

Taste great and so many uses. My household is on a carnivore diet and this is a great addition for cooking. I’m also using it for moisturizing my skin. It feels so good. This is now the only tallow I will be buying in the future.

OMG. I absolutely LOVE THIS Product. It is absolutely the most amazing product ever. I am 59 years old. And I still remember buying Lard at the Grocery store. To be able to make my Mom’s homemade Enchilada Sauce. I make Baked Potato French-Fry’s in the Toaster oven a lot. I only use to use spray oil, and Butter on them. And yes they were good. But since I have learned that meat fat is actually good for you. I purchased this product from Amazon. And no, Cresco. Is very bad for you. But, this Beef Talo is amazing, and Excellent. Makes anything that you want to fry, or bake absolutely delicious. After tasting this delicious Beef Talo. I will never go back. An amazing, absolutely delicious product. You will LOVE IT TOO. If I could give it 1200* I would. Fresh, and absolutely delicious. I will definitely buy again.
