Since I've picked up boxing, I wanted to incorporate skipping rope into my workouts. I was using a cheap plastic (licorish style) rope for a long time and wanted to try a speed-rope style rope to see if it'll increase the effectiveness of my workouts. This doesn't do it.When I recieved it, I was really impressed with the build of the handles and all the cool mechanisms of the bearings and fasteners. But after using it a handful of times, I realize they were more cumbersome than anything. The rope isn't necessarily fastened to the handles but is retained from lengthening with a stopper. So it won't get longer, but it can get shorter as you skip. Which is a problem because it'll cause you to trip more often.Most importantly, the rope is really light. Which isn't necessarily a good thing. In fact, it makes it a little bit trickier to use. With the lighter weight, you can't feel or hear the rope hit the floor, which helps with your rythm or feel the rotation in your wrists. And since the rope is thin, it's hard to see it pass. It's like as if the rope doesn't exist.Great quality product, but I find it difficult to use.

Amazing value for this surprisingly well-engineered jumprope for aerobic workout. For $6, how can you go wrong? You can make like Rocky and speed jump rope or be like a little kid again and take it slowly. Either way, good for your heart, good for your head during this crazy time. Comes with two coated wires (red or black) that just snap in to the handles, and you can adjust the length there as there is about 6-8 inches in each handle without having to cut the wire. The stainless wire is pretty beefy and I think you need a decent pair of wire cutters and the grip of a gorilla to cut, but I did it. You may want to try this outdoors as to avoid snagging your jumprope on the ceiling fan in your workout room. Just sayin'.

This is not like any rope I'd used before. Granted it is my first speed rope, but it surprised me how thin the rope is. I do like that the lengeth of the rope is adjustable, but its working better as i get used to this. Quality seems to be holding up as well

Product has been holding up well. If you are like me and looking to improve your jump roping skill but aren’t yet ready to take the plunge and buy a expensive jump rope this is the one for you. My current gym is outdoors with concrete floors and this rope is holding up. I did remove the cable protector because I felt as though it made the rope a little off balance if it wasn’t just perfect but it didn’t change the way I felt about the rope itself. Handles spin super smooth and assembly was a piece of cake. I am 5’6” and the adjustment functions were super simple.

This is my first speed rope and I am using it on a mat. The anti-wear piping is long enough and has a good fit and its pliability (softness) is enough to keep it from moving on the cable when jumping. On the mat, I think the piping creates too much drag and I ended up removing it. The handles have double bearings and are very smooth. In trying to find the right length, I left the extra cable in the handle. That much cable in the handle creates drag on the bearings, so I will trim it once I am comfortable with the length.If you purchased this speed rope, I don't think you would be disappointed.

I jump rope 1000x everyday. I have been going through ropes monthly. I just got this one because it gave me a replacement wire. However, I was not expecting that the handles and the attachment system would feel and work so great. This rope is light weight and super fast. It comes with a rubber piece that you can add to the wire to help protect it from getting ripped. I felt that it made the rope heavier so I plan to only use it on my rope if I need to jump on a rough pavement area.

This is an excellent jump rope for the price. The bearing is very smooth.The length adjustment mechanism is easy and quick. No tool is needed to just the length. Just push and then adjust the length.It comes with an extra rope and 2 cover tube to provide reduce wearing if jumping on rough surfaces.For beginners or people coming from regular fopes, there is an adjustment period as this is speed rope.Overall this is a great item for the price.

I have recently discovered the benefits of jumping rope. After a couple failed attempts at purchasing a rope that felt good weight - not too light- not too heavy- I tried this one. Best move ever. Product is well made, durable, rope spins on bearings so even the pros will dig it. Simple to get set up AND adjust. Others were horrible, this was literally a no brainer to get it precise. Comes with two ropes and two protection sleeves. Looks cool - And you get two! No regrets here.
