Bailey of Hollywood Men's Tino

These hats run large. I had originally bought a black XL, which is what the size chart said would fit a 7 1/2. Since it was way too big, I returned that one, and decided to try the basalt in a large instead. It fits fine, but basalt is grey, which is how it looks in the picture. In actuality, it's more of a loden green with a dark brown band.

I absolutely love my Bailey!! I was fortunate to be able to try one on in a local store, so I knew what size I needed. I ordered the Basalt color and it's outstanding. Kind of a medium to dark gray (more of a medium color IMHO). I've got a close friend who has one in the dark brown that is really well worn, and I like it, but I wanted to give the basalt a try and I can't see me wearing any other color. It's dark enough as to not show every little spot, but not so dark as to show every piece of lint or fuzz like a black hat can tend to do. I bought this hat to wear and not just sit on a shelf or hang on a hook. The lite felt gives this hat a good waterproofing and can be smashed, rolled or packed, and still pop back into shape, so I don't have to worry about it. I hope this review helps. As long as the one you get fits properly I can't imagine that you'd be disappointed. There are a lot of choices out there and many are way cheaper, but I believe you get what you pay for, another HUGE plus is that Bailey of Hollywood actually make their hats in the good ol' USA!

The hat is nearly beautiful. The feather (I'm a feather guy) is wretchedly ugly, what small feather there is. It's not like the picture at all. I'm going to order some feathers and make a small display myself. However, l must say it fits perfectly. I wear size 61 cm, or 24 inches. I was torn between two sizes. The hat must run slightly large and it does, the size XL fits fine. The color basalt isn't a medium grey like the picture but a black-off black.. Handsome but not anywhere grey at all. It's a keeper because I don't have any black hats. Just getting a camel or light grey in something else. Well made, no satin liner.

I liked the Tino. I tried it based on my ownership of a Bailey Curtis, which I love. The Tino has the smaller brim, with a snap up in the back that I think looks good when I wear my sport jacket. The Curtis is my go-to hat for outdoors/hiking/birding activities because it blocks the sun well and it's waterproof nature and wool construction protect my head, face, and neck from the elements better. Unfortunately, While the Curtis I own is a large, I bought a Tino in large and it was way too big. Exchanged it for the Tino medium, and while the hat band (and consequently the overall fit) was much better, while wearing it the crown just looked oversized. Best I can compare it to is the way a bicycling helmet looks while worn... kinda bigger out on top than I'm used to seeing. The Tino's crown looked that way on my head. I do not have the same issue with the Curtis, or with the straw Trilbies I own. I guess I'll have to keep looking for a wool hat to fill this niche, but I'm kinda bummed because otherwise the Bailey Tino is a very nice hat for the money. Best advice I can give is to try it on and see how it looks on you, but watch the sizes, the Tinos seem to run larger.

For the sharp dressed man top it off with a Bailey of Hollywood fedora. I love Bailey of Hollywood and have a dozen of their hats. They put out a great looking product for a reasonable price. That said, I would caution that this is darker than pictured. It is very close in color to their parchment, which I already had, and which was also darker than the stamp size picture on the web. You can't go wrong with any Bailey of Hollywood product. Made in the U.S. they are true to size and look damn sharp.

Classic. Just phenomenal. Made in PA. Love it. One wear, one compliment. Many to follow. I have several Bailey's but they all work with specific looks. This is fit for dress, casual and all others.

This is a great hat. Extremely comfortable, and good quality. It arrived in a nice box, but was a little smashed, and it popped right back into shape when I removed the wrapping and adjusted it. I have lots of hats. Some are Xl, and some are size large. My head is more than 59 cm, but less than 60cm, so I usually fall right between large and XL with hats, and it always depends on the make of the specific hat,...does it run larger or smaller. In the Tino I wear a Large. It fits me perfectly.

I've gotten many compliments on this hat. I had doubts when it first arrived, looking rather like felt carpet padding from the 1950s or like a saddle blanket I once had, but it's become one of my faves. The weight is just right, staying put in any wind and it has a great shape which it holds very well.

The item is fantastic. The one negative would be the packaging it was delivered on. The hat was rolled up in a plastic bag. Not suitable for a felt hat with a snap brim. Great hat, terrible packaging. 10 outta 10 for hat. 0 outta 10 for packaging.

Super quality from Bailey and at a bargain price!. The hat was well packaged and left full (not rolled or packed) in a sturdy cardboard box. Excellent free delivery service from amazon, pleasant delivery driver!...a nice experience!

I love the colours and fit, although I can’t help but think this hat isn’t quite right, the rear tag doesn’t line up with the crown and the brim is smaller at the front than the back. As it’s not a cheap hat I would have expected slightly better

A beautiful and classy hat which always grabs attention. The colour and shape of the hat are perfect and match virtually all outfits and face shapes.
