A solid camera and best option at the moment
I work for an IT company in Maryland, and we've been doing our best to source webcams while folks are working from home due to Coronavirus. Most name brand webcams are either back ordered 6+ week or are selling for many times MSRP, so I took a chance on this cam which promised delivery in 5 business days - and it arrived in 6 calendar days, 4 business days with the expedited shipping option selected which was fantastic. Here are my notes:1. Image quality is very good and appears to be the rated 1080P HD. Field of view is fairly wide and images are crisp.2. Sound quality is adequate but not great. It should suffice for Teams/Zoom calls, but one’s voice is a bit muffled – you would not want to record a podcast on it.3. Build quality is adequate – the plastic lens cover popped off when I unpacked the camera (held on with adhesive), but I was able to stick it back on with no issues in a few seconds, and it’s been fine since.4. The Price is reasonable. I would say in non-Coronavirus times this would probably be a good 25% less, but compared to name brand cams going for 2-4x normal prices, I think it's a fair deal.5. Quicker shipping is available once added to your cart – choose expedited shipping – the ETA may be incorrect (too far out) but ignore it. I ordered my camera on May 7 and received it May 13th, so about a week.6. Ease of use. The camera uses standard Microsoft drivers and there was no special install required. Anyone on a Windows 10 computer can just plug it into a new USB port. I have NOT tested this on a Mac and cannot certify compatibility on a Mac.7. Security – I have tested my computer for malware and viruses, and run a packet capture using Wireshark to confirm the camera was not transmitting data anywhere overseas that it shouldn't be. The camera uses standard Microsoft drivers, it appears safe.8. Long term - I've owned the camera about a day, so I can't speak to this. All in all, if you need a reasonable priced webcam right now, I think this is a solid choice.

Excellent customer service; acceptable webcam
I purchased this webcam for my mother so that she could participate in online video conferences with other family members while we are all sequestered by the coronavirus. As a result, I have never seen the webcam in person. At the time that I was shopping, everyone in the country/world was looking for the same thing, so there were few choices, what was available was more expensive than I expected to pay, and delivery times were longer. This would not have been my first choice of webcam in other circumstances, but it had the best combination of price, delivery time and reviews of what was available at the time.I had the camera delivered directly to my mother, and she had a staff person at her assisted living community install it for her. She immediately encountered difficulties, although she did not inform me of them right away. First, the cord attached to the camera was just a little too short to reach from the PCU which was under her desk to the top of the monitor on the desk, so she had the camera sitting on the desk, giving us an "up the nose" view of her face. I ordered a USB extension cord and had it sent to her and she again had a staff member set it up for her. (Yes, I know these "set ups" are extremely simple, but they required getting on the floor under the desk, and that is something she can't do.) Once the cord was long enough to mount the camera on top of the monitor as designed, we discovered that the picture it broadcasts was upside down. I contacted customer service to ask for assistance with the problem. I was pleased to get a response in one day. Customer service sent me links to a troubleshooting program and a Youtube video explaining how to use the troubleshooting program. I responded that my mother was not in a position to undertake programming troubleshooting and asked whether the camera rotates or swivels in its housing, or whether the housing rotates on the mounting arm. Again, customer service responded in one day, offering to send another camera. I accepted the offer and the new camera arrived in two days. The replacement camera works well. It sits securely on top of the monitor and broadcasts a decent picture. The picture and sound quality are a little fuzzier than other participants in our conference calls, but I don't know whether that is the camera or my mother's wifi. The other issue is that my mother says the new camera looks very different from the first one, so I don't know whether I'm even reviewing the same product that I originally purchased. The bottom line, as the title says, is that I'm very pleased with customer service, and the camera works fine.

Only order if you are really desperate - its junk
I wanted a webcam to mount on my big screen so people didn't see the side of my face (from the laptop cam) when on video calls. These are of course pretty hard to come by these days. I ordered this cam and paid the extra shipping. The good: it arrived on time, was plug and play installation, and did mount on my large screenThe bad: everything else. This device would (maybe) cost $14.99 in normal times. It's the kind of thing that you would find in a convenience store next to the charging cables. The picture flickers and "pixilates" constantly. It is so bad that others on the call comment "are you losing your internet?", and is actually a distraction (not exactly what you want in a business meeting). The microphone is basically unusable - hard to describe exactly what it sounds like, but you are unintelligible (switched back to the laptop mic hour 1). For $50 bucks I wasn't expecting great quality, but thought it would at least be as good as the laptop cam. Not even close. Giving it 2 stars because they did meet their delivery time commitment.
