This little power strip was a God-send on my recent excursion throughout Europe. I only had to use one power adapter and plug the strip in versus having a separate adapter for each of my devices! This became especially necessary after my travelling companion forgot both her adapters and her power strip despite numerous reminders, so I had to charge both of our cameras, both of our phones, both of our Kindles, AND my laptop all on my strip! Obviously we had to take turns, but either way, our batteries would have been dead a lot more often without this strip. I was also a popular gal at the airport gates where power outlets were at a premium, so I made friends!What makes this particular strip so special? The strip itself is extremely compact and fit well inside the tiny front pocket of my carry-on backpack. The cord is long enough to add some distance between you and the wall plug but conveniently has an attached velcro strip that is actually quite handy in bundling it back up. This made getting ready to hop on the plane a much quicker process than it would be packing away various chargers and wrapping up a giant power strip. I also invested in some short Micro USB cables  Micro USB Cable, 1ft 0.3m Extra Short Nylon Braided Eversame[3-Pack] High Speed Sync Charger Cable Cord for Android Phones & Tablet，Samsung, HTC, LG, External Battery Chargers and more-Black  as that's what most of my devices take and just left them plugged in for even quicker pack up.The strip was more than sufficient to charge all my devices, even when I used various adapters with it. The material feels very solid, and the strip even comes with a "free gift" of velcro cable ties which also feel heavy duty. I'll admit, I didn't really use these much, as I got those short charging cords to avoid having more to wrap up. Either way it's a nice bonus!All in all, I HIGHLY recommend purchasing this before your next major travel. It was very very helpful to me, especially in the old parts of Europe we visited (like Venice) where you are lucky to find a single plug in your hotel room!

1. You have more than 1 device to recharge every day/night.2. You travel (especially cruise ships and not-so-brand-new motels)3. You need this!No more plugging in your phones and ePads and cameras and whatever-gidgy-gadgets all over the place and forgetting them when you leave. No more unplugging hair dryers, coffee pots, lamps, and whatever else you can find just to recharge your stuff. Cruise ships are the worst! This is the handiest thing I've discovered since the little box that lets me recharge stuff with AA batteries! Really! Plug this thing in and all your stuff is recharging right there all in one place ... those who've done otherwise know what I mean.

I purchased two of these and appreciated the form factor, extra outlet in the plug end, and inclusion of usb ports. That said, after three years of light use they are both failing in the same way. The internal contacts get too loose to reliably power devices. IE you plug your laptop in to charge overnight, but in the morning it's battery is still dead because the contacts in the power strip weren't making contact. This suggests inferior components inside the power strip, which is unfortunate because now these devices are e-waste and I have to buy new ones.

I was looking for a power strip to travel with, and I chose this one because it is:- lightweight- doesn't take up much room- includes a 2.1 amp USB charging port (and two weaker 1 A ports)This comes in handy very often, whether I need a little more flexibility from hotel power outlets, or to calm tensions between people looking to charge their electronic devices at airports/coffee shops

the reg power recptacles sometimes lose contact w the plug. have to Ben plugs to create contact and that sucks.unreliable for the purpose it was made for

When I plugged in a USB for the first time, sparks flew and the unit shorted out. Sigh, another made in China winner. Yes, Amazon gave me a refund, but I get tired of having to repackage items, then driving out of my way to a UPS shipper.

The product looks great and worked just fine for a few months then out of the blue, for no reason whatsoever, it goes out. I gave this product one star because I purchased this item with confidence in its fire and water-resistance and expecting something durable. No water, certainly no fire, it just shorted while having breakfast with the family. I probably wouldnt trust this product again and would just go with a belkin or something better known. Not a whole lot of complaints buying on Amazon but definitely disappointed with this purchase.

This is a great power strip, and perfect size for traveling. I love having the 3 USB ports to plug chargers in directly without having to carry my USB-to-plug adapters. This stays in my travel bag, and I take it everywhere. The size and weight are negligible in any bag I carry. I also like how this company includes 5 hook-and-loop (velcro) cord wraps with the packaging. These come in extremely handy.
