This is my second purchase of this entry rug. My first (over 2 years ago) has stood the test of time and front entry abuse - and it still looks like new. Cleans easy with some suds and rinse of the shower head. Backing has stayed pliable and keeps the rug safely in place. The red has a few pink strands, but they are not obvious and help to hide lint. Highly recommend! This is only my second review in years, but it is a superior product.

I bought this as an indoor welcome mat to my apartment because I didn’t want one of those rough ones. My entry opens into the kitchen which has a hard floor and I like to take my shoes off there, but wanted something soft to step on when my shoes were off yet tough enough to withstand people stomping their shoes.Let me warn you however, when you first open the box, and it does mention this if you care to read the insert inside, the mat sheds a lot. It’s constantly dropping pieces of itself everywhere. So what you want to do is open it right next to your washing machine, and immediately throw it in there with no detergent. I should warn you again, after it’s washed, you’re going to need to wipe down the inside of your washer with a damp paper towel to cleanup all the lose fibers it left behind. It seriously looks like it disintegrated in there, but somehow it comes out looking fine.Once you take care of that, the rug mat thing is great actually. I haven’t walked in it with muddy shoes yet, and I hope I don’t have to. But I have had guests come over and they notice how soft and comfy it is and they are surprised to hear it is meant to be placed there. It has a nice tough rubber bottom so it doesn’t slide. It has a very low profile so my door just grazes over it.I’m very happy with it. It’s perfect for putting my shoes on and off. Would buy again if I had another door.

Wish there was more color options but they do absorb and are soft and keep feet warm from cold floor in winter when removing boots.Great entry/ mud room rug during the winter

I have ordered a few of these for different areas. I cut one in three pieces to use on the RV steps and landing and they not only look good, they keep it much cleaner and lay flat due to the rubber backing. Matching washable, too! Yea.

This rug is soft. Stays in place. It really works to take grass leaves and dirt from shoes. I use to have sweep everytime I came in from outside. Now I sweep once a day. If I go outside. This rug is pretty too. It does look like a bath mat.

I've got 8 of these rugs I've purchased over the years. I buy them again and again because they are so absorbent and keep our floors clean despite having 3 dogs running in and out their dog door all the time.None of them have been retired. I use them all and they last wonderfully!Except one. Just one, and it's from my most recent purchase, had half of the backing come loose in the wash. I follow the washing instructions, and even had the other rugs in there with it. They are all fine except the one. At $50, that really sucks. Of course it happens outside of the return window.I'll probably still buy them though. Aside from the one dud they are worth it. I have to hope it was just a one off, maybe the glue machine was running low right there or something and not that someone decided to cut costs and kill the quality. We'll see!

Things I NEEDED in an entry mat and why this, so far, has exceeded my expectations.I have a 34 pound dog I take in and out a lot, as I live in a condo and no yard. I have a ceramic tile entry.EVERY season here has something to deal with, mud, snow, leaves, etc.PROS:STAYS IN ONE PLACE! - I HATE rugs that MOVE. One, it's dangerous coming in from outside and two, it's a PAIN to constantly be adjusting a rug or mat. THIS ONE stays in place! My dog and I walk in and out ALL the time and it doesn't move. NOW I can't say how it would be if you had a BIG dog or two running in and out, but doesn't MOVE at all for me.COLOR COMBO - I wanted something to go with my gray living room furniture. This LOOKS gray even tho a mix of black and white and BECAUSE it's a mix, doesn't show dirt, dust or even small leaves as much as a totally solid color would.QUALITY - SEEMS good quality so far. Not too thick or too thin. Once I stomped on it a bit, it just stayed in place. One side was a tad curled up, but just walking on it make it almost completely flat an hour after I got it. I did vacuum it as advised and I haven't noticed ANY significant shedding at all.PRICE - HARD to beat for the price. I want what I want and to get it for a good price? EVEN BETTER.BOTTOMLINE: WOULD DEFINITELY get this again. And at this price, I would be fine replacing it once a year, but doubt I will need to. EXCEEDED my expectations.

I bought mine February 2019 and just washed it for the first time yesterday. I would never have guessed it was as filthy as it was. It definitely lost a couple fibers in the wash, but I washed it on the super filthy, high everything setting, twice. I can’t tell looking at the rug that any are missing though. I cannot express how much mud and dirt came off of it into our washtub drain and how much is still in it.It doesn’t track water into the house and clearly picked up a ton of dirt. The only thing that it didn’t pick up was wet kitty litter spilled in the driveway.

Works quite well if you wipe your feet on it. Haven’t been able to teach the dog to wipe her paws and modest results with husband.

Works very well. Muddy yard, muddy dog - no tracks through the house. Machine washes easily. Very absorbent.

Purchased this doormat, with high expectations... for the high price... but no, it's not absorbent...

Love the mat works well doesn’t slip. Another option to a much larger mat size 1000x 500 I would would buy two now.
