Effective, cheap and simple. It just works for moving 2.5 ssd to another computer, no screws, no complications. This could work as a replacement for a usb drive, or transferring files to another computer, and it probably works better and is more compact then one of those aluminium ssd housing things popular in the past. Very useful and could be used for multiple issues. I have not tested it for hdd's but it should also work with mechanical hard drives based on that it has a sata and standard pc power connection.

This cable works great. I tested it with a 2TB WD Blue 2.5" drive and got consistent transfer speeds around 70–80 MB/s, with peaks near 90 MB/s. That’s better than some more expensive options I’ve tried. Build quality is solid—aluminum shell, braided cord, and a compact design that’s easy to store. Plug-and-play with no setup needed, and no extra power required. I’m currently using it in a non-USB 3.0 port since all my 3.0 slots are full, but I’ll update the review once I test it on full-speed USB 3.0. Planning to use this in a small NAS project and will definitely buy more. Highly recommended.

Works well and is made well. Recently got a Atomos recorder that uses Sata drives but couldn't find my adapter, got this the next morning and it works without any issues at all. Good solid speed through the USB 3.1 port, and could even edit off the drive if needed. Super easy to install a drive and use it, and as easy to connect as plugging in the USB port (even for those who always try to plug it in the wrong way the first time). Was able to find the drive on Windows 10/11 pc's immediately over multiple desktops. Also showed up fine on the Mac Mini also when testing a drive setup for the mac. Good compatibility all around, and no connectivity issues on any device at all. Some machines recognized it faster than others, but that's a computer issue over the device. For the price, and how it works, it's a good value.
