Simplicity at its best
This is hands down the best uncomplicated slicer that works great with repeated use and repeated dishwasher use.Its very durable. The blade remains sharp. I use the cover when getting vegetable half way down to the blade, it works like a charm and when done the cover goes right over the blade area when storing so I don't fear getting cut. It's simple which I love, didn't need special types of slices with all the attachments, just simply slicing and it offers several different thicknesses. You can even go under the #1 position to get really thin slices. I do this to make potato chips in the microwave! It's a breeze to clean, just put in dishwasher. Love it!

Can make a salad in minutes
After using this for about a year now, I realize I can’t do without! It makes my salad so much easier, onions, carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes, everything I slice. It is so efficient. I love to slice my veggies thin and the options are perfect for three thicknesses.. Great! Highly recommend.

Meh.. it slices okay
I think this is good in a pinch. Not for softer foods. For little jobs. It’s not the sturdiest… I wouldn’t let kids use it.

Extremely effective but dangerous
This is an extremely efficient little device--makes quick work of thin-slicing cucumbers, potatoes, tomatoes, just about anything--including your fingers if you're not extremely careful using it. Just be very cautious--and use the little holder supplied with it meant to protect your fingers. I've also heard there are mesh steel gloves one can buy for the same purpose.

Slice with Precision
The clear surface lets you monitor slices as they accumulate, and the slicer can be used directly over a plate or bowl. Cleaning is straightforward, as the slicer is dishwasher-safe. However, the handguard may not securely grip larger produce, requiring extra caution. Overall, it's a practical and efficient tool for everyday slicing needs.

This is my 2nd OXO!
I do a LOT of home canning! I work the crap out of all my equipment. This slicer I 1st purchased in July of 2022. I really worked it hard! Seriously! It lasted through all that work. I just purchased another in April 2025. That's how much I like it! It slices cleanly through the enormous amount of cucumbers and onions I pickle as well as all the other things I slice. I highly recommend!

Great Slicer
We cook for two and have a larger mandolin, but it is hard to clean and bulky. Sometimes we just want to slice a few things for a salad or quick meal. Enter this little gem. Want to slice a few carrots very thin? Or a potato for oven baked chips? Give me a minute and its done. And it is a breeze to wash off for the next time. Only negative is the holder to secure the object to be cut. It does not dig into hard veggies, so it is almost useless. So, does that makes it unsafe? Buy some cut resistant gloves (less than $10 on Amazon) and go to town. I don't even use the holder anymore. Disclaimer--use common sense and be safe. The sharpness is what makes it work so well!

Good for the price, but too narrow
This inexpensive mandoline slicer is goid quality for the price. Works well, the 3 slice widths were suitable for my needs. The comfort grip handle prevents slipping. I believe it would be useful for people with arthritis or hand issues. Cleans easily. Cons: it's rather small compared to standard mandoline slicers, narrow. The slicing area is maybe 3" wide, 7.5cm. Medium onion max. Good for compact kitchens, storing in a drawer or RV use. The same design, wider, would earn 5 stars, for the price-point.
