Is this metal (will it stick to a magnet mount)

It is a metal. It's not attracted to magnets.

Will it attach to any quad lock case?

Yes. It attaches to the point on the back of the case that you use to attach to all the mounting units. All of these are exactly the same for every case.

Is the ring Magnetic?

No. You need a quad lock case as it clips into the case.

Can I still use this and attach to like my running band. Or do I have to take it out ?.

You have to take it out and don’t buy it. the case is brilliant but the paint flakes off the thumb ring as it looks like it’s been painted over Chrome.
