great beginner box
Great beginner box for a younger person (say 4-6 grade). After a year, one of pieces got slightly stuck but it's possible we warped it. These are beautiful and really cool gifts. Be warned, it is on the small side - read the dimensions carefully. It won't hold more than coins on the inside.

Awesome little box
This is my first Japanese puzzle box, and I have got to say that it is awesome! I bought this one because I wanted to see if I'd like puzzle boxes, and if I'd want to start a collection, and sense this is the cheapest one and it's simple to open, (4 moves to open it,) I figure, why not buy it? I have got to say I love this thing. No regrets buying it at all. I'm going to start a collection of Japanese puzzle boxes! The quality is amazing, and it slides open nicely! A little small, so I have to figure out what I can put in there other then a ring or three, or a small amount of change. But I'll find something to fit in there! The inside spot where you stick misc items is about, 1.5" X 1.5" X 1". Those measrements are definetly ABOUT, not exact measurents. I highly recomend this product.

Great gift, but space to put things is on the second step
As other reviews said, the box was extremely well made and beautiful. The only thing that was not mentioned is that the "hidden place" that is pictured (with the quarter in it) is actually in the second step. The fourth step leads to a very tiny spot, that I'm not sure would fit even a quarter. This was a little disappointing to me because the gift I was giving was in step 2 and I didn't have anything to put in step 4.

great box, great gift
I originally bought this box for my daughter who is 10 but I feel it is a little to complicated and so nice that she may not appreciate it. This would be a wonderful gift for anyone who loves puzzles. It is small but it is very nice. I will be buying others of these for gifts.

Puzzle Box
I visited Japan and loved learning about the history and culture. The history of the puzzle box fascinated me and brought several back as Christmas gifts for everyone. I forgot a couple people on my list though, so I found this one. You cannot tell the difference between the ones I brought back and the ones I ordered online. They are beautiful and high quality, and everyone loved the unique gifts.
