Zacurate Fingertip Pulse Oximeter Blood Oxygen Saturation Monitor with Batteries and Lanyard Included (Gem Blue)

I have used this type of portable pulse oximeter for years. We usually had the pricey version that the hospital bought. This is for my personal use at work. It has worked just fine so far. I have used it on small peds also. If their finger was too small,I used a toe. It is just as accurate and handy as pricey models. I have gotten accurate measurements with side by side use of two different products!I would reccomend buying a case for the pulse ox to be kept in. Rattling around in your pocket does any product good no matter what was paid for it! I would buy this again.

Works well not so sure I care for the protective case that came with it. It has a tendency to fall off the bottom when I use it, so I took it off all together. I think it would be more useful to have a rope attachment to hang it around my neck. I use it at work and I think that would be better. Update 11/30/2014 I would just like to let everyone know that after my review, I received an email promptly. The supplier is top notch in customer service and offered me a caring case and a rope for my oximeter. They are good people with great customer service. I would happily buy from them again.

I'm a Nurse Practitioner with primary background in Cardiology, so I"ve used a lot of pulse ox's !! I ordered this one after reading many reviews, to take with me on Housecalls. I love it !! I had NO trouble putting in the batteries at all, or getting it to work. It works just as well as any of the many I've used in clinics and hospitals. The rubber cover is great and I will leave it on b/c the grip is better this way. The power button is easy to push and the lit up numbers easy to see. It comes with a pink thin lanyard so I won't lose it. I've used it about 15 times so far and have no reason to not trust the accuracy. I wish I'd had one of these when my children were young and having breathing troubles from asthma. I would recommend patients with COPD to own one - so they can monitor their status and have more data to report on the phone to a provider, should they suspect they are getting into trouble. This is easy to use, and if I ever lose it, I will buy the same one again ! LOVE the pink !!! Pink is also nice if you have pediatric patients, it's less threatening than black.

This oximeter works very well! We are very pleased with the product and service. We paid for overnight shipping late Thursday afternoon and it arrived first thing Friday morning, amazing! We also ordered the case and the oximeter fits very nicely in it. I would highly recommend this oximeter and suggest getting the case to keep it protected and clean.

I wanted to have my own portable pulse ox for my jump bag and to take when I go on medical missions trips. (I'm an EMT, soon to be Paramedic, and I'm a Midwife student.) I wasn't sure how accurate this would be because of the incredibly reasonable price so I took it to work to compare with our heart monitor. This little device surprised me - it was DEAD ON with the monitor's readings! I was comparing it to a Phillips MRx Heartstart monitor, and both the SpO2 sats and HR readings stayed constantly exact with the professional monitor. I did things like hold my breath, briefly hyperventilate, run around, and switch to different fingers to cause changes in the readings, and this pulse ox still coincided with the heart monitor. It's definitely worth the price! I'm planning on buying a few more to bring to my trip to Haiti.I did not have the problem with installing the batteries like some people have reported; I just followed the diagram printed right in the device, and it worked fine.

I'm a medical professional, but I bought this for home use. It's very cute, looks sturfy enough, and is a lovely blush pink color. However, it's completely useless. Every person in the house got saturation rates of between 92-93, after cleaning with alcohol and without nail polish. If that were the case, we would all be having symptoms and should be rushing to the ER. I would like a full refund. This things is a toy, and failed to give us the insight and reassurance we needed concerning our oxygen saturation levels.

Follow the instructions! I broke the first one I ordered because it "didn't work". It worked fine. It's just that the way the battery compartment is, I thought the batteries went in one way. Turned out the batteries went in the other way. Both in the same direction, I can't remember which end for the positive and negative off hand, and maybe different models and manufacturers of this are different.I have not yet synced it up with my doc's Oximeter, but it appears to be accurate. I was not sure if my oxygen levels at nite really required the use of in home oxygen, according to the meter, sleeping or lying down, my oxygen levels do go down quite a bit so I feel like I am not running the machine for nothing. There have been times exercising when I thought, the way I feel with exertion, my oxygen levels must be low, but my oxygen levels are really good when I exercise. Whether or not this is good I'm not sure. I could be over-taxing my heart.As with anything else health related, the DOCTOR is an absolute necessity to check with!
