Bookkeeper [PC Download]

I typed in many transactions for checking and then tried to reconcile. The program will not show you your transactionsIt is impossible to reconcile. Once you leave the page you typed them in on, they are gone.Waste of money, as there is no place to ask this questions without $$$$$

I was pleasantly surprised by all the features and ease of use. I use Quickbooks at work so was familiar with accounting software. But needed something for a very small home business at an economical price as possible. Perfect for my needs.

Overall this is a good item for the money but there are a few things that would make it better. There is no way that I can find to make unused accounts that cannot be deleted inactive. This is advertised as a bookkeeping program for personal and business use. There are a lot of system accounts that would not be used for personal record keeping but they cannot be deleted or made inactive. This would be difficult for someone without an accounting background to use.There is no way to modify the layout of the reports. They are not laid out in the format that is typically used for financial reports. The accounts are listed alphabetically instead of by type. This makes some of the reports difficult to read.I have been using QuickBooks which is very user friendly. With a little modification, this could be as well.I do not want my financial software to be dependent on having an internet connection and I do not want my financial information stored on a server hundreds of miles away. The fact that I can install this on my computer and run it with no internet connection is a big selling point. It is very reasonably priced. This is why I changed from QuickBooks to this. I do not regret it.

This product which I only bought an hour ago is garbage. The screen doesn't enlarge and it's therefore hard to read and every time I open it that nuisance about upgrading to a newer version shows up. I am aware that it's buyer beware and I know it's not refundable so all I can say it's thank goodness it was inexpensive, of course I probably wouldn't have bought it because I just wanted to use it with my personal checking account. Also, I wanted to be able to download my checking account info into the software, not type it or manually have to import it and the product advertises it does that but it doesn't and it doesn't read up my QFX file. It states "Get Started Quickly Simplify Your BankingBanking has never been easier! Download credit card and bank transactions directly into Bookkeeper and quickly reconcile your bank statement and track transactions." Their help guide is terrible too the only thing I found about downloading had to do with Quicken.

Not really user friendly. Very basic. Can’t track a lot of things if you need to know what is what.

Go to the publisher and download the updated version. Or buy this one and then download update after update.

This Software is very difficult to operate for someone like me that only wanted it for Personal Accounting use like download transactions to a checkbook and have the accounting set up so that it is easy to reconcile and have the end of year reports. Definitely not customer friendly and difficult for Personal Use. I just Spent a waste of money as I will not spend the time it takes to use it for my own personal use. I have used Quickbooks/Quicken for my Previous Boss and they were very easy to use.
