The true Cuban mint variety used to make the mixed cocktail drink named after it and the original Kentucky mint for mint juleps! These hardy perennial herb mints are an easy to grow plant in either a container or in the garden. This variety will readily make itself at home in full sun to partial shade in moist soil. Most gardeners don't have any trouble growing it, but it can get away from you if you are not careful. Grown organically at our licensed farm and plant nursery in Oregon! This listing is for (2) plants grown in a 4" container. We strongly recommend growing all mints in a contained area or planting them in a large pot in the ground. All mints perform best when they are harvested or cut back at regular intervals. Remove old woody plants to allow newer, younger plants to fill in. At the end of the growing season cut the mint plants back to ground level and top mulch heavily if in a colder area where the ground will freeze. GROWS BEST IN: Full sun.
