'Artemis' is the fifth studio album by American violinist, singer, and songwriter Lindsey Stirling. The album is an enchanting journey that makes you want to journey to Middle-Earth and disappear amongst the trees.

Great music on a pretty double record
I just received this album today and I am really happy with it. I very much love how she pairs the violin (which is a classic instrument) with modern music. This album really makes me feel to be alive, I like it a lot.As for the record: you get a double album in a gatefold cover. The artstyle is great both for the cover and for the inner sleeves (which I always replace with my own anti-static ones, but they still look pretty). If you are interested in the tracklist though, you are a little bit out of luck: on the back cover you have the tracks, but for the four sides they are printed along the four edges of the cover. Interesting design, but not too practical. The same applies to the records itself: nowadays for new records they do not really think it would be useful to clearly mark sides "A" and "B". It is there, but you will not just make it out by taking a peek at the record to decide where it begins.Speaking of "where it begins": for some strange reason, there are no grooves on the intro part of the record, so you have to put your tonearm much more towards the inner part than usual to actually start playing.I love this album and really admire the unique (for me) and interesting design, even though I feel like adding a readable tracklist and marking sides A-B-C-D in a clear way would have not gotten in the way.

Wonderful and creative violinist, composer and dancer.
If you are fans of goth and symphonic metal bands, Lindsey Sterling’ amazing violin virtuoso skills are just like listening to Nighwish, Evanescence and Within Temptation but having the lead vocals replaced by the violin. Indeed Amy Lee (Evanescence) sings on track 6 of the album. Even if you are more mainstream in musical tastes, there is something for everyone on this fabulous album.Lindsey is also an accomplished dancer and choreographer, so a visit to u tube for the Artemis video ( amongst others) is mind blowing, imagine the London Symphony Orchestra meets Game of Thrones meets Heavy Metal. Absolutely fabulous.

Untouchable
Lindsey Stirling is the greatest artist of the century. Incredibly talented there appears to be nothing she can’t achieve, she has brightened my musical taste so much ever since the first album. Many instrumental but peppered with the occasional singer, the greatest singers because only the greatest singers make it on to a Stirling album.. 5/5 10/10 100/100 as with all her albums it’s an absolute classic.

exuberant violin playing
I enjoy watching this artist who combines dance and violin playing which is innovative and entertaining. However I was disappointed with this cd as I found it rather noisy and monotonous. However this is my personal feeling and others may beg to disagree.

Just a wonderful mix of sounds and styles, unlike earlier albums this one tells a story too - sort of like a concept album.Fantastic music - highly recommended :)
