UPDATE: After posting my original review I discovered that it quit working because I had gotten a bit of wax on one of the prongs. I rubbed the wax off and it works great again! Have been using it for a few months now with no problems, and haven’t had to clean it again. Other reviewers mentioned noise; nobody in my household and none of the pets complain about any noise, Original review: This is a very pretty, sturdy-looking lighter. But it stopped working after about 3 days of use. I lit approximately 15 candles total, and then it quit. I thought maybe it needed charged again already, but after leaving it plugged in overnight it still didn't work. Cannot recommend this purchase.

How to make it start working again
I purchased this 10 months ago for $20. It has worked well and keeps a charge. I burn candles almost every day. I noticed lately that it hasn't been igniting reliably, despite having a full charge. I believe the issue is that one of the contacts is covered in soot or wax. I fixed this by using a Q-tip and rubbing alcohol and rubbing the contact vigorously until I could see the metal again. I had to jam the qtip head in there - simply using a paper towel did not work. Of course, I took all measures to ensure that the lighter would not ignite given the flammable nature of alcohol. After doing this, the lighter worked again. If it stops working I will try this method once more.

Not what I hoped for stick with lighter
Maybe great for candles but starting anything else it’s not too good. Limited charge life and continually shuts off during use. I’ll stick with lighter

MicroUSB When it works its great but you spend a lot of time keeping it clean
Been using it the past six weeks on beeswax candles. When it works its great, but the nature of the arc you have to have the wick between the arc prongs, and it means a lot of soot and wax gets on there. I run it for a little bit after use to burn it off, and clean it regularly, but still have it stop working and needing a detailed every week. You basically trade time needing to refuel it for twice the time keeping it clean so you can use it. Also Micro USB...seriously?

A good quality candle lighter manufactured by a reputed company called Zippo that makes quality cigarette lighters known all over the world. The candle lighter is very durable and works well. Arrived on time and well packed to protect the lighter inside.

Bought this rechargeable lighter in 2021 and didn't last 2 years - it won't charge and can no longer be used.

I was expecting something solid at that price range and from Zippo. It feels flimsy, cheaply made, and it broke after three months. DO NOT BUY.
