Great traveling coffee maker with build in grinder
Works well. Now I have a thermos with a build in coffee grinder and coffee maker. It so simple and convenient for traveling. I can buy coffee bean and make coffee whilst traveling. It an inexpensive and useful device to sample coffee anywhere. Its design is thoughtful and elegant.

Almost a perfect travel solution!
I was searching around for pour overs that I can use out on the road since I have a heavy travel position and came across this. After doing a test run I can say it almost takes the cake.Just to note that the stoneware is actually the burr grinder in this product, and it can grind extremely fine if you wanted to use it for espressos, and changing how fine you want your grounds to be is fairly quick and simple process. The lid (pictured in red) is more or less used to retain heat on the drip kettle or the cup as there are no threads to keep it fastened other than the bottom of the drip kettle. If they designed the lid to act as more of as a tumbler lid this would have been perfect for on the road travels!

One of those products that if you actually need, there's no substitute
I had a couple of these types of grinder/brewers that were off-brand before I finally sprung for the Cafflano. It's great; the grinder is high quality and takes a bit of getting used to but I don't think it'll ever give out. The self-contained mug is relatively large, but for the number of features you get with it, it's worth it as that is literally all you need to bring with you to make good coffee. You can pre-load it with beans for easy next cup. I have never used the pour-over spigot that's included in the top cup, but it does offer a nice fine stream for a controlled pour. The pour-over basket itself is small and very fine mesh, so you would need a slightly coarser grind, otherwise be prepared to sit there and meditate for at least five minutes while you pour (and your water will likely fall out of ideal brewing range). If you're not a zealous coffee aficionado who needs everything to be laboratory precision, then it's totally fine and very convenient for travel. If you are, you'll probably find something to gripe about, but come on, we're talking about a portable grinder and pour over...

Good if you want to make your own superior coffee while traveling
Great to have for good quality coffee when traveling from hostel to hostel but a chore to grind the coffee beans.

Saving $1.83 everyday at work now
I love this thing. I was paying $1.83 at work every day for their concentrated coffee that they just add hot water to. Now, I just line the strainer with a paper filter then fill it up with coffee grounds and use the same hot water they use to mix with the concentrated coffee. 5 mins later after finishing pouring over the hot water, I have coffee I paid pennies for. Then i just dump out the paper filter into the trash, and there's no mess and no grounds to cleanup at all. BIG W!!!

Made In Korea
I purchased this with the hope of getting a really fantastic piece of kit...but I'm really disappointed, it was very expensive but in reality its quite cheap looking and nowhere does it even state the type of stainless steel used on the inside of the mug which is important as this is what is in direct contact with your coffee. The top is made of plastic and to bout its even made in Korea, which I couldn't see until I purchased it because it's not listed on the item description! So who knows what sort of toxins could be present in the product. Not happy at all.

Fresh ground Java in your Rucksack
If you like your java fresh ground, this is the widget for you! Out of all the coffee makers I have tried in the field, this is the absolute best. One of the things I enjoy about it, is the process of grinding beans. If youre entertaining a guest in camp, a bit of grinding is a nice ritual.I use mine in the house as well - rather than a kurig cup - I just pop this little gem under the machine and it works great. Remember, people who do not love coffee are evil and untrustworthy.
