I just had bunion surgery and they supplied me with a full leg boot that had the metal supports all the way up to my knee. But this type of boot was hard for me to walk with for some reason, like it was too cumbersome and immobilizing to the point where it was messing with my knee alignment.So after 2 weeks from surgery I decided to get this boot and give it a try. And what a difference! I can walk around without the stiffness of a whole leg boot but still protects and supports my foot! It still has the contoured sole underneath so that I can basically walk with only putting pressure mostly on my heal and not on my toes.It does take getting used to but at least I can walk around without crutches now. I normally wear an 8.5 to 9 in men's shoes and this medium size fits me perfect, even with bandages wrapped around my foot. The velcro straps on this are nice and long and can be customized by taking off the "hook" part of the velcro and placing it wherever you need to. Great boot and great price for it! ($22 at the time of this review). Definitely recommend!

This post-op recovery shoe was exactly what I needed for my sprained toe. It’s sturdy, comfortable, and keeps my foot protected while walking. The adjustable straps mostly ensure a secure fit, and the design relieves pressure on my injury. Highly recommend for foot injuries.

This item is an excellent partner for faster recovery. Standing and walking for 8 hours is completely comfortable with no discomfort. Bought other brands but all were returned as it's not comfortable to walk with it and felt pain. Brace Direct brand is highly recommended.

Perfect when transiting from boot to a more shoe-like foot cover. Fits well. The only think I did not like is that the bottom is a hard plastic sole. I had no slips but was worried about that hard surface when walking on vinyl floors.

It was almost a week of limping around with a broken small toe. People told me a special shoe wasn't necessary, and the doctor recommended one only if my sneaker was hurting me. But for $30, I felt it worth it to try anyway. And I'm so glad I did. I can now walk without pain and faster than I could limp without it. It protects my toe from accidentally being bumped against objects and even me unconsciously curling it. I even sleep with it now since I was curling my toes during sleep and waking up to pain. Less pain must mean better healing.I would suggest googling the shoe on the manufacturer's web site for a more accurate size chart. The sizes in the description on Amazon didn't match further down in the description, and neither matched the manufacturer's site. I am 8.5" male and it seeems right in between sizes. I ordered the small and it fits perfectly. According to the Amazon description, I should be wearing a medium, so not sure if that would be okay too.

This shoe worked great for my post op toe surgery with a 📍 pin in my toe. I had to use it constantly for 8 weeks. Well the sole cracked on both sides after 6 weeks, and i am still wearing it now at 8 weeks post-op because I need it.I did contact Brace Direct customer support- email twice, phone call once with no response. No response whatsoever from Brace Direct. That is the reason for three stars. Otherwise great product, not sure why mine broke, i’m just a lady in my late 50’s walking around my house, office, and maybe grocery store. The shoe did keep my toes safe.

A stable support walking shoe to that relieves pressure when standing and walking. I injured the achilles tendon, like the adjustable velcro straps. Sole is noisy when walking on surfaces. Reasonably priced.
