Darice Luminara Flameless Window Taper Candle Gold Base Heritage Collection with Timer In Brass

I love these things, I now have over 26 of them, and they go in the front windows of my house during the holidays. I've never had a problem with a single one of them.Update: 06/21/2018: Just wanted to mention that after four years of having these candles in my windows during the holidays, they are still going strong. I love the warm spirit they bring to the holidays, and I cannot count the number of compliments I get when they are on display.For a long, long life, I would recommend keeping the shipping boxes they came in, and storing the candles in those boxes between uses (do not forget to take out the batteries before storage). The other thing is be very careful when opening the battery compartment. While, I personally have never had one break, the small tab that secures the compartment, could be broken, if forced.I use good rechargeable batteries, and they will faithfully light up every evening for 5 – 6 weeks before needing another charge.Check out the photo... they look just like real candles.Update 09/14/2021: All my candles are still working fine. Not a miss in the lot.

The candle is attractive, and the flame is realistic. I have bought several and really enjoy the timer in the bath room, bedroom, and formal rooms.

These are pricey candles but I haven’t really found anything else that look real when sitting in your window. I can’t complain about how they work. They look great. Take 2 C cells which last me through the holiday season which is when I have them up, and beyond that.I broke one of these and this is a replacement. If you knock one of these off the window or just drop it, you will probably break the “flame”. Not the flame itself, but it is balanced on a small plastic hook mount on the inside of the candle. That breaks easily. I fixed my old one by jamming a small nail through it (which was not easy as the exterior plastic on these candles is very hard). The nail obviously doesn’t look good, but they sit in my window so nobody sees them. I’m sure I could come up with a better looking fix, but... no worth the time. I actually broke two of these candles by knocking them off the window sill.So just be aware that they are great candles, but the flame’s mount will break if you drop them.

I love these candles! I use them in the windows at Christmas and then throughout the house the rest of the year. The battery life is great, they are expensive but lovely!

I am very pleased with my purchase. It is true Luminara brand only several dollars cheaper. Will purchase more in the future.

Really cool until the battery cover breaks and the candle is no longer usable. I have had two of these break (a little plastic nub on the battery cover breaks off and so the battery compartment cannot stay closed and the batteries don't make contact meaning the candle does not work.) I contacted Luminara asking for a replacement battery cover and was told they were on back order and I would be mailed one when they come in. 6 months later I still have not received it.Cool product but cheaply made and situation not rectified by company by providing a replacement part. Total waste of money and can't recommend Luminara to anyone now.

They flicker like real flame candles. Perfect for a window sill or any area where I don’t want to use a real candle with a flame.

This is not exactly what I expected. I wanted the candle to come on at dusk and off at dawn. The candle with a photo cell. I would have preferred. Also one 7 or 8 inches in height.
